Personally
I think conversations about whether you should go for an mba to the USA should be limited to general discussion groups
Students in school admit groups are anxious as is and these conversations just add to the noise
We should keep these limited to Ross related conversations and that's it

Yes. Will try my luck with the visa. Have spent so much time and resources, backing out is not an option now.

How are you guys thinking about visa - are you planning to keep any non USA MBA options open in case visa doesnt work out in your favor?

I know one guy - Savi who got into Stanford last year but couldn’t get the visa and had to sit for whole year doing nothing as he left the job.

See his/her linkedin.

Not company but admission consultant.

Because he left his job early. And it came out publicly. Companies may not offer full time position with someone going for mba in coming months.

But internship still an option.

Savi joined his MBA admission consultant.

I’m not resigning till I get the Visa. Nobody in my company knows that I am going for MBA.

Another strategy is do a 1 Y MBA from india like - IIM A/ISB etc.

Later do a 1Y MBA from USA - if every star aligns its great, else you atleast have 1Y mba from india.

This person had posted the same thing in this group - and in that message the admit was from Ross with 80% scholarship 😅

PS. Good job hiding Riya Chouhan and her first digits 88714!

I haven’t received a scholarship and am thinking of declining the offer. Being international and having to take on debt makes it too risky for me at the moment.

When I questioned her integrity. She shared this. No idea if it’s of this year!
