Hi there,
I started my GMAT prep in February, with Manhattan GMAT Prep material. It was going well till April last week. I started off with a GMAT mock score of 480 and went till 680. After reaching 680 I was kind of stuck with my preparation. Manhattan books were done 100%. So after a lot of research, I enrolled with EGmat module for Verbal+Quant in May. And started doing their tutorials one by one.
And today after 2 months I wrote a mock (@800score), to my surprise I was taking a lot of time to solve questions, most of the questions seemed hebrew to me, and I scored 500.
It has come as a major disappointment. I really don't understand what to do, I believe my strategy wasn't right. It is like going back to square 1 after putting in 6 months into it. Please guide.

First of all, you shouldn’t be disappointed. Your hard work of 2 months will pay off. Many test aspirants are unhappy with their initial practice test scores. What we have observed is that this is due to either lack of a detailed study plan or some unreliable resources. Also, we will recommend you to unlearn and re-learn again. The GMAT is not that easy as we assume. Raising score from 500 to 700+ is realistic.

Build your math basics with our "Math Review" (5-hour lesson). These videos are for reviewing basic math, including arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and word problems. At your level, you need to go over these videos twice. We are sure that you can strengthen your basic math skills. However, we suggest you refer to these videos any time you need to refresh and master the basics. You may take an online course where you may ask as many questions you have, or you may consider private tutoring as well.
Regular tests will reflect the positive change in the score, and hence, your confidence will boost up, and you won’t have fear facing standardized or official GMAT test. Also, remember that to score 700+ in GMAT, one needs this possible combination: V37/Q50, V39/Q49, V43/Q45
