Hi
If anyone can help me out. I started preparing for Gmat around 4 months back (April-may) and wrote my first GMAT in July and scored 640 (Q49, V27, IR7/8, AWA5.0).
At that time i was scoring around 640-660 in mocks and as I was going for a vacation for around 10 days I thought to just attempt GMAT for the sake of experience.
After that I prepared rigorously for verbal especially for SC as I was scoring good in CR and RC and completed Manhattan's SC (Basic and advanced), Gmat prep's video, OG and OG Question pack one.

In last three Mocks my score were
23 August
GMAT Exam pack 1: 660 (Q49, V31)

26 August
GMAT prep (free): 710 (Q49, V39)

28 August
GMAT Exam pack 2: 720 (Q50, V38)

As I am aiming at a 700 score, I was quite confident in achieving my goal. But on test day the big surprise my score was 600 (Q49, V23).
I had took all the mocks under exam conditions and was feeling very confident before exam. During the verbal section I encountered two bold face question and was pretty confident that I was doing fine. Although I am a non native speaker and Quant is my strength I never got 23 in any of the CAT before.

This is a bit unusual. Such a huge drop between your mocks and test day score. Even your previous GMAT cat score was better.
While attempting the test, did you feel that the test was quite hard and questions were confusing. Something unlike the mock tests?

Yes, I felt the test was on the harder side for Verbal, although I found Quant to be quite easy.
Usually I do well in CR, but I encountered 2 boldface CR questions in test, which I ended up guessing.
Even 2 RC passages were very long and felt very difficult, taking a lot of time.

Although I have seen similar level of difficulty in some mock tests, but I scored 30 or above in all of them.

Hi dreamyagrawal,

In a prior post from just a few days ago:

https://gmatclub.com/forum/target-700-s ... l#p1915557

You stated that your GMAT was scheduled for September 7th and that you had taken those 3 CATs BEFORE (just a few months ago). My advice in that thread was for you to push back your Test Date so that you could continue to study - and that you make sure to take NEW CATs from now on.

With this post though, it sounds like you took the GMAT recently (either today or yesterday). Is that the case or are you referring to another practice CAT?
