We agree with the other two posts. It's a question of the cost of hedging.

In the spirit of helping you make a decision (assuming you have the funds), you should put the deposit down for the first program and just eat the cost if you get into your first program. The fact that you don't have an interview yet, makes us extremely concerned about just foregoing the program to which you are currently accepted. It would be a slightly different proposition if you had an interview in the bag. That's not to say you won't get into your first program, but it's just another potential step in the process that might not go your way.
