Hi Prerna1995.

To drive your verbal score higher, you have to do one main thing. You have to get better at using logic to clearly articulate why incorrect choices are incorrect and correct answers are correct in verbal questions.

To do so, you have to do a lot of slow, careful practice, and you have to analyze many verbal questions to train yourself to see what you need to see in order to answer them correctly.

Often, people spend 20 minutes or more per question when they start to prep for verbal. So, don't be surprised that you don't understand the questions. Learning to understand the questions takes a lot of time.

One good practice for verbal training is to copy and paste verbal questions into a document and then type out explanations of why each choice is correct or incorrect. Even more helpful would be doing so and then having someone skilled in GMAT verbal review the document with you to help you improve your skill in articulating what makes the choices incorrect or correct.
