10 percent of 1 is equal to 0.1

So we have to compute what percent of 10 is 0.1. so this means we have to compute what percent of 100 is 1....so 1%

Convert the statement into the expression:

What: 'x'
is: =
of: *
Percent:  \frac{1}{100}

What percent of 10 is 10 percent of 1?

=> x *  \frac{1}{100}  * 10 = 10 *  \frac{1}{100}  * 1

=>  \frac{x}{10} = \frac{1}{10}

=> x = 1

1/10 is (1/10)/10 = 1/100 = 0.01 = 1 percent.

x% of 10= 10% of 1
(x/100) *10= (10/100) * 1

On solving the two equations we get x= 1%
