Hello all,
A few months ago, I was admitted to a top 20 B-school program (2 year regular MBA program, on campus) I need help with your advice.
I work in enterprise cloud infrastructure sales at one of the biggest tech companies in the world. It looks like two of my mega deals will close in the next 4-8 weeks. This means my total commission out of these two deals will be around $350K, which will cash out by the end of Dec, 2020 because of quarterly commission payment structure. With the projects closed, I'll 100% make a total of ~$250-300K again in 2021. However, school starts in a few months. If I quit before/after the deal is closed, I will forfeit 75% of all my bonus in 2020 and 100% in 2021, and the company will have no obligation to pay me all all.
My question here is: can I just do go to MBA and work full-time at the same time? Is that legal? Do I have to disclose this my work+school information to both the MBA program and my employer?
Has anyone also tried to negotiate a part time deal with their employers in this situation? How did that work out?
Thanks for your help.
