Hi,
I have received an admit from Babson 1 year MBA, and I am pretty confident to get an admit from Indiana Kelley 2 year MBA

Do you guys have any insights that can help me to choose?

what are your own criteria for selection? think along the lines of :
1. 1 year v/s two year MBA (quicker v/s longer, cost difference, more opportunities in a slower-paced program)
2. what are your career goals? which program will be more beneficial for you?
3. compare the academics/ extra-curricular opportunities, career related activities- career treks, professional clubs.
4. In terms of rankings, Kelley is better ranked, but is that a criterion for you?
5. Any scholarship being given by either program?

I want to go for a one year programme, given the opportunity cost + tuition fees is less. Honestly, I want to start my startup as soon as possible, but getting MBA means student debt, so I ll have to postpone the plan for few years before I repay the debt. Extra curriculars of Babson aligns more to my goals, since they are entrepreneurship driven. No ranking is not a criteria to me, I just want to make a sound decision (even if it is a risky one) I have received 50% scholarship from Babson, I am expecting to get some scholarship, probably not 50% from IU

Hello mrishan1993

If you are very clear on your startup plans - Babson would be a better choice. They also have STEM electives such as Quantitative Finance which can help with the OPT time.
This way the 1 year MBA might be a better choice.

Shree
