Hi Team,

Looks like the scroll bar (overflow) of the right side (input fields) box is not working :)

It can show you competitiveness I guess but this was specifically designed for MBA where it requires work experience, leadership, and other features more suited for experienced professionals.
With Master's, there are fewer data points.... GPA becomes a lot more important and test scores as well.... or so I think at least as I am not a masters expert 😇

Profile evaluation tools, especially in the context of college admissions, job applications, or visa processes, assess your chances based on a variety of factors. These tools typically analyze key aspects such as:
  1. Academics/Qualifications – GPA, degrees, certifications, etc.
  2. Test Scores – Standardized tests like SAT, GRE, GMAT, or specific professional exams.
  3. Experience – Work experience, internships, or research background.
  4. Extracurriculars – Volunteer work, leadership roles, community involvement.
  5. Essays/Personal Statements – Clarity, uniqueness, and relevance.
  6. Letters of Recommendation – strength and credibility of endorsers.
  7. Skills/Certifications – Specific skills that align with the target field.
Most tools assign weights to each category and provide a rough estimate of your chances for acceptance or selection, but remember they’re just one part of the equation. Real outcomes can vary based on external factors and personal impressions.
Would you like help evaluating a specific profile for an application or opportunity? I can guide you through the process or share insights.

Hi bb!
Thanks for creating this useful tool.
I just had one doubt: Does the gmat score range here represent the classic score or the focus score?
For eg, I scored 655 in focus which is 710 in classic, so which range should I select?
Thanks in advance!

Hi. These are classic scores because they ended in zero and that’s the way to tell in many other locations on GMAT Club where some scores end in the five and some scores end in zero (except averages sometimes and all the other kinds of numbers). as these in zero, you should use 710. 👍

PS. We have an update coming that has been stuck in the pipeline unfortunately for a bit but that will have the new focus scores and an updated algorithm.

Oops. Yes, we have a new version that's ready for release. I think it will be this week - perhaps 48 hours?
Did not realize it killed the old version when we released the update this weekend

!

We have made an upgrade to the tool and added the Focus scores, BUT, it is not accurate at the moment as the calibration data has not been entered and it will take about 24 hrs to do that. Thank you for your patience. (The tool is overly optimistic at the moment 😇😂) so hopefully everyone loves it until it gets tightened.

No matter what input is given, it will always show very low for all colleges

Hi. I have just tested and it seems to work as designed/setup... I think.
Have you expanded the form and the set the more advanced parameters?

It seems a bit strange. I changed some parameters, but they didn’t affect my results as they used to. I checked this for four different institutions (HBS, GSB, Columbia, and IESE), and the results were the same for every school. This didn’t happen before.

I experienced the same issue, I only found a different result when I changed the GMAT scores by 20 to 30 point increments (95%ile - 100%ile)

Thank you. There are certain bands for the scores, so you have to move up a band and not by just 10 points. E.g. there is really no difference between 635 and 645 for example.

I will double-check. We have spent a long time calibrating the system - took a lot of our lives and analysis 😣
Did you get positive results or all negative? or? Would you mind posting a screenshot?

Thank you!

Can we have such an evaluator for even GMAT Focus edition?

bb
What Are My Chances - Evaluate Your Profile!

Use this tool to estimate/evaluate your chances of admission into one of the Top 25 MBA programs
The accuracy of this tool depends on the accuracy of your entries/answers - please see below for explanations of some of them
✅ Make sure to expand the Advanced Parameters to get the highest accuracy

Tool Link: https://gmatclub.com/gmat-chance-calculator/web/

Attachment:
wamc.png

Inputs & Choices Overview:

Background: based on your own judgement, how do you think your background will be perceived by the admissions committee? There are differentiators that make one's profile more or less diverse. For example an Indian male engineer is likely highly over-represented whereas a New Zealand Engineer is likely under-represented and a Military Applicant with Special Forces designation is likely under-represented or Unique in their background. Examples:
  • Heavily over-represented: Indian IT Males
  • Somewhat over-represented: Indian non IT applicants and SE Asian Applicants
  • Average Representation: US and EU Applicants
  • Under-represented: South America, Oceania, or African applicants, US Military Applicants
  • Unique: you know who you are ;-) e.g. Syrian refugees, Tibetans, Spec Ops Operators, Athletes, Performers, and other people with unique background, history, or work experience.

Undergrad Prestige in Your Country: - are there regular applicants to the MBA programs of your choice from your Undergraduate institution?

Age: This is age at the time of matriculation

Work Experience: This is your work experience at the time of matriculation

Reapplicant: If you are a reapplicant with a significant change in your application such as a difference of GMAT score that's 40 points or more AND additional changes such as using help with admissions or meaningful promotion in this application season, please select NO

How does it work?
There is a short and a long version of the tool. You could technically fill out just the GMAT/Background information. In that case, the tool assumes AVERAGE values for all other answers. To get the most precise answers/estimates, please answer every question. We have been working for a few years on a project that has been a brain-child of souvik101990 and I am glad we are finally at the stage that we can release and share it. Please give it a try and share what you think - appreciate any comments/feedback.

What do you think about this tool?
How can we improve?
What is done well?

Does it work for PT, EMBA, Weekend MBA?
Not yet. This tool only works for FT MBA Admissions.

Is this tool Perfect?
Ha. No. It is based on historical data but it is not perfect for every case. This is likely a case that explains the 80% of data and then has 20% outliers.
