What do you want in the new GMAT Club MBA Guide?
We are starting to figure out what will the GMAT Club MBA Guide contain for this year, and we want your help. In the past, the MBA Guides have been all about how to craft your resume, what to do with the letter of recommendations, how to talk about leadership etc - that is generic topics. (Find the older versions below - they were downloaded over 35K downloads so lots of people found it useful).
This time, however, we want to be more specific for two reasons: the content for the MBA guide does not need to be largely changed, and also I feel the need to do things more application year and school specific. So my idea is that we keep the MBA guide as is, and create a new application guide for all top 15 schools in the 2017-18 cycle. The new guide could contain either of the following.
1. School specific essay, recommendation, and specific strategies.
2. Past essays that worked (for different questions for some of them of course) with notes on WHY it worked and what lessons can be drawn from them.
3. Some before-after stories from our partner consultants. How an applicant started with an essay and then got it better with edits and eventually accepted. So what do you guys think? In an ideal world, we could have all of them, but I want to get this rolling by end of August so people have the time to actually use it for their apps. I am starting a poll on these, and I hope you will choose wisely. If you have some thoughts/feedback, feel free to post your comments below.
Thanks!
