We dont really need a height over there.

The big triangle is a right triangle with hypotenuse 7
Old but GOld Pythagora can help

$$a^2+5^2=7^2$$
$$a=2\sqrt{6}$$

IMO

It's a right angled triangle, will use Pythagoras theorem:

given are height and hypotenuse, need to find out base(b):

$$5^2 + b^2 = 7^2 => b = 2\sqrt{6}$$

Answer - Option B it is!

$$a = \sqrt{7^2 - 5^2}$$

Or, $$a = \sqrt{24}$$

Or, $$2 \sqrt{6}$$, Answer must be (B)

Using the Pythagorean theorem, we have:

5^2 + a^2 = (4 + 3)^2

25 + a^2 = 49

a^2 = 24

a = √4 x √6

a = 2√6

using pythagoras theorem

5^2 + a^2 = (4 + 3)^2

25 + a^2 = 49

a^2 = 24

a = √4 x √6

a = 2√6
