Thank you very much bb. I am extremely grateful. As you can see, I am confused :) But based on your advice and the advice of my mentors, I will now choose the 1 year programs over Wharton and other EMBAs. For some reason, I thought Wharton would be huge, but it looks like MIT Sloan's 1 year is as good in your books and I trust your judgement here as without GMATClub and this community, I wouldn't have reached so far.

I dont have a constraint to live in Europe, but if even I need to return I think both Stanford and MIT are very well known across the world so I wouldn't miss out on anything on that front. My office will grant me a sabbatical, so If I don't find any better job opportunity, I can come back. However, preferably, after spending so much money, I would want to find a better opportunity in the US.

Another question- Between Stanford MSx and MIT Sloan Fellows, which one would you prefer more and why? I have read several of your replies, however, I can't see to figure out which is better. Location, as I stated, is not an issue for me, so whether its Boston or California, both are equal in my eyes as of now. Without a shadow of doubt, I would have preferred Stanford had it been an MBA, but I am unsure if the MSx will give me the same opportunities and advantages later on in life as an MBA from MIT would. Hence, I have a hard time comparing the two programs and deciding on which one to choose. Would appreciate your help here too.

Thank you again very much :)

I think Wharton would be huge and is huge but I don't think you will be able to take advantage of it to the extent it can give you. My recommendation (though I want to state that I personally have not attended any of these programs), would be to consider which format fits you the most (EMBA or FT) and consider the long term location. If you want to be in Europe or US.

With the FT format of Sloan and MsX, you would have to network, search for a job, and be unemployed if you don't find something. Some don't like that and for some it does not make sense to lose income (though you have no family so it is not as risky). Also some prefer Europe and want to be there long term rather than establish themselves again in the US and learn the new ropes there.

I think if you had a way to leverage Wharton, it would be awesome but without a visa, it is tough.

As to Stanford vs. Sloan - it is a tricky choice. There have been a number of GMAT Club alums who attended MsX (you can check in the discussions and other similar topics https://gmatclub.com/forum/stanford-msx ... 42517.html and reach out to them. I feel Stanford has gotten a number of bad press complaints during the Pandemic. I don't know if that's really all negative but the helpful side is that it has brought up some of the candid perspective of how these programs operate and what they leverage. I would definitely reach out to students at both programs to set your expectations of what you will have to deal with and work with. That will make your experience much more enjoyable.

You have enviable problems - it is like being stuck which car you should get in a lottery - a Ferrari, Porsche, Lambo, etc

Congratulations for great offers. I’ll be straight and bold ( subjective too) if you don’t want to live your rest of life in silicon valley then go for MIT. I’m in MIT too so you can PM me to know more.

I checked this recently so may be too late and long term nothing matter much so i hope you made a great choice already!

Cheers!

@LoveforCars- I am still deciding (to be honest). Would you mind sharing your experience at the MIT Sloan Fellows program? Were people able to find jobs in the roles that they desired (high level ball park %) would help. Also, how is the experience in general? The courses in general seem to be better at Stanford MSx and at Wharton EMBA, though it is hard to understand what is really taught and I could be completely wrong here. Any advice (and all advice) will help.Thank you!
