Is there a certain pattern in which the interview invites went out ? I get that we should probably be waiting until first week of Nov, but I'm just worried if the order in which they are sending out invites is the order of strength of the application. Any non-US applicant who got an invite ?

No pattern at all. I know it's hard not to but try not to read into it. There's no rhyme or reason...an invite is an invite and that's all there is to it. Once you get that ticket, just be sure to wow them!

Good luck with the wait. It's really hard now but once that email comes (and it will), you'll know the wait was worth it.

Hi Aerien, you seem to have a lot of insights into Yale's admission process. Do you happen to know how many interview invites the school plans to send out for R1? Or an estimate? Thanks a lot!

Hi blueser, I only know as much as someone who went through the process last year. I have no visibility into specifics on what adcom is doing or is planning to do this year

Hi guys!

I'm interested in applying to the program, most likely for admissions in round 2. To be concise, is there financial aid for living expenses available for international students? (in any form, be that need-based, scholarships, loans etc.).

Thank you!

there has to be more than 9 people that were invited to interview at this board. Surprising not to have seen that number up in the last few days

Last year, Yale tended to send out invites in mini waves, so this is very possible. No one should lose hope because it's been a couple of days since any interview announcements have been made. Even then, Yale will waitlist people who are not interviewed and may offer them interviews during round 2 and 3. It's not over until it's over!

Hope you're right. Although judging from the figures on this site, it still looks like an arms race for jumbo GMAT scores. Still have my fingers crossed!!!

Hi guys,

My two cents from last year's experience - Interview invitations come out in stages. AFAIK, the India interview notifications came out at once last year.

PS - I was invited to interview last year but did not get admission.

For the alumni and more experienced people at this forum - Is it possible / probable that my interview from last year will be counted or will I be invited for an interview this year fresh?

They will consider your interview from last year with the rest of this year's application. I don't know of anyone who interviewed more than once. However, I do know of a couple of people who interviewed last year, got rejected, and ended up getting in "without interviews" (meaning no interview this year).
