Yes, they said "After reviewing your file, there is no particular weakness I can point out. Overall the application you presented was very strong, but other candidates simply presented a more compelling overall picture. I know it is frustrating not to have a specific point of feedback, but in your case, the decision was truly the result a highly competitive applicant pool and limited space. We highly encourage you to reapply. The upside is you’re in a good position to refine your application for this coming year. I do hope this indicates to you how positively we view your candidacy, and that we hope to see your re-application in early on in the next cycle." NYCFinanceGuy, may I ask how you approached them for that feedback? If I remember correctly, wait listed candidates who are then dinged can request feedback AFTER all three rounds decisions have been released at which pt adcom would come back to you with feedback over the summer. Happy to answer any questions about SOM & you all should come here **hint hint nudge nudge** @machichi knows, I will bug you until there's blue next to your name! To the waitlisters, aahhh so many awesome people on the WL No amazing advice to offer except to keep showing your interest in SOM. The positive about being WL-ed in R1 is that there's still a lot of time before final decisions come out, and yes, people ARE accepted off the WL into the summer. It is possible. Dings, I'm so sorry! I hope you keep at this process and find the school that IS the right fit for you & you'll have green next to your name soon enough! And, if you really feel SOM is the right place for you, try try again. There have been GC-ers who have applied multiple times over before being accepted (at SOM and other schools as well). Just keep on trying.

You've probably found it, but there is one already made. Looks to be mostly some awesome current students at this point, so join join join if you haven't already! PS. You should get the link from adcom/your interviewer/or another SOM contact, but PM me if you need it.

A couple of points to make while the feeling of getting in sinks in: I was rejected last year after interview at SOM but luckily got through this year. And quite truthfully, I had a lot of gaps in my application last year, that I think I rectified this year. So, if you put in enough hard work, it does work out in the end. Would like to thank three people - Aerien, OhDenny and Machichi for all their posts and involvement in the forum. They have been really great for the past two admission cycles for me and I hope I can catch up with you guys in person soon.
