e-GMAT Verbal online course helped me build confidence to write the GMAT Verbal section . I understand the basics now . It provides a technical approach to non-native speakers in order attack the verbal section .I would say you should try this invaluable tool from the beginning of your GMAT prep so that you gain the most. The course doesn't bombard you with multiple jargons. Instead it provides it own naming convention which is easy to understand and can be easily put to practise during the exam. The course is quite exhaustive and no other material is required for your preparation apart from official guides. Best of Luck !

Hi there!!
I had been contemplating to write this post for quite some time now. And after putting in months of effort in preparations towards the GMAT, I believe this is the right time to share my views.
I believe that this review is likely to help you guys in deciding on a Quality prep course.
Firstly, I would present a brief background regarding my journey into prep for the GMAT. I took my GMAT on 15 Sep 15 and scored a 650(Q50, V 28), which was way below my target.
After days of self introspection, pondering what went wrong, I arrived at a number of facts that helped me to improve my performance consistently over the next few months in the Verbal section, without letting the guard down in the Quant.
The greatest reason for my respectable quant score was PRACTICE and ONLY PRACTICE. There is no greater GURU MANTRA to the fact that PRACTICE makes you PERFECT or at least pushes you to closer to your target score. The fact that I never felt comfortable with Verbal made me sway towards my stronger sections(Quant). Sometimes, I felt that I would rather attempt four Quant sections back to back rather than face one Verbal section. Thus, I inferred the only reason for my low Verbal Score was lack of practice.
I had read some great reviews for the E Gmat Verbal Live prep course and I chose the same as a companion in the prep journey. Looking back I feel that, it was a right decision to enroll for the course and the results seem much apparent now. Not only have I developed a stronger accuracy but also developed an understanding on the concepts tested. I strongly recommend the course to anyone out there contemplating on “which course to choose”. I recommend the course because of the following reasons:-
A) Concept Building. The course is very well structured and the concepts that are taught in the course do not leave any page unturned. At the end of the course one is equipped with all the ammunition one needs to attack the real test.

B) Live sessions. This is probably the most useful feature which help one bridge one’s gap in prethinking. These sessions add such an intangible skill to one’s approach to question that it cannot be over emphasized.

C) Scholorarium. This question bank is a resourceful tool that takes one further closer to a great score by ensuring adequate QUALITY practice.

D) Commendable customer support. The E-Gmat team is a great team. They were keen in addressing any issues faced by me in the quickest possible time. The company accords priority to students over business. So it has been a very satisfactory experience for me.

My last words of advice are as follows. Its true that Practice is important but it’s very important to remember that GMAT is a time bomb. Had one had an entire day, one would have scored a perfect 800. But working in time pressure is equally important. Therefore :-

(a) Practice to build accuracy first and not timing.
(b) Practice till prethinking becomes a second nature to you.
(c) If you are starting to prepare, don’t pick up “Wren and Martin”(I see many of my friends doing that). It’s a waste of time. The content of the course is adequate to get you to your dream score.
(d) Building concepts is as equally important as practice, so ensure that all gaps in your understanding are addressed before moving to scholorarium.
(e) Don’t let your guard down in your strongest areas. For example if you are good in Quant or Sentence correction, don’t stop practicing them but maintain your accuracy in those sections. You will realize that concentrating on your strengths will help you save time in the test for the difficult sections.
(f) Lastly, consistency is the key, practice daily and “Thou shalt fathom the unbelievable”

I signed up e-GMAT Verbal Live Prep in Sep 2015. The main reason that I chose it was because of very positive reviews. "Best live course", "Huge improvement in quant skills", "methodical approach for problem solving" etc. These advertisements and reviews really attracted my attention. I was not in touch with Quant for a long time a non-native and I wanted to improve my Quant score. So I decided to buy the course. Now, when going through the course, I can see what did I miss in my first attempt. I will share some positive aspects of this course.
1. Provides a very well structured study plan with concepts and quizzes for each section. (This may be useful for anyone who lacks discipline)
2. Comes with free mock exams that can generate performance analytical reports. (However, the timer doesn't work well, leading to wrong timings of your response time)
3. The e-GMAT time was kind enough to extend my course when I couldn't finish it in time. (The login was valid for about 6 months and they extended it for 1 month)

I am yet to take the GMAT exam, it's scheduled on 2nd of April '16. What I particularly liked about the course is the format in which the content is presented to the user. It's goal oriented and one can't jump into the next content without successfully finishing the present module. I really loved this because it aligns to my style of learning. I chose this product, I'm a non-native speaker, based on the reviews on given on GC and would request all the aspirants to check it out on https://e-gmat.com/buy/#GMAT-Verbal-Prep The team will revert in one working day. Thank you.

Cracking any exam needs a combination of skills ,temperament and practice, and these parameters become even more important in a marathon exam such as GMAT. The best part of e-gmat was the solid conceptual base for each of the topics in verbal followed by relevant examples.
The videos were self-explanatory and the live sessions acted as an anchor to reinforce the important concepts and their application.
I still remember my numerous doubts to faculties and their patient responses clarifying even the silliest of doubts.
I would recommend e-gmat to every serious aspirant if they are targeting a good score in GMAT.

I am a non-native speaker from India working in an IT firm. The idea of giving GMAT struck me last year, looking at the options and prospects that open post MBA. Being from an engineering background, I was thrilled looking at the Quant syllabus and the difficulty level of the question in GMAT. I was quite sure I would definitely nail this exam , provided I put some extra efforts in the verbal section; something I felt I was not that confident about compared to the Quant section.
For the next 2 weeks, I skimmed through various blogs, portals, etc and planned a timeline of 3 months for myself, which I felt would be sufficient for me to crack the GMAT. Being a working professional, i was sure I would need minimum of this much time to cover and master the entire syllabus.
Quant was never an area of concern, so I just focused on the verbal section. I used the whole Manhattan series to cover the portion. To my utter dismay, I was still stuck in the early 600s in my mocks, even after going through all the concepts and practicing the OG completely. After 3 months of rigorous efforts, finally the date of exam arrived, and the result was no different from what the mocks indicated. Scored a 640(V28, Q49) I was completely demoralized and shaken, as I had never imagined I would end up scoring so poorly even after so much of efforts.

Post GMAT, I tried but couldn't stay away from analyzing what exactly went wrong in the process. I came across the forum, where I found reviews about eGMAT and stories very much similar to mine and how eGMAT helped students to make their GMAT dream come true. I signed up for one of their free trial lectures that happen on the weekend. The class was enough for me to realize that I fell short at so many places, even in an easy concept(atleast I thought so) like subject verb agreement. It completely made me look at GMAT exam from a different perspective. I couldn't wait , so I immediately reached out to Mr. Rajat from eGMAT, to discuss on queries regarding GMAT, and that very conversation on mail gave me the comfort feeling.

I immediately signed up for the Verbal Live Prep, that also guaranteed a point improvement guarantee , which no other programs or courses gives you. There are few things which I realized as the course progressed:
1.) Its not the amount of effort that matters, but the quality of learning . The study material is very enlightening and high on quality. I was surprised that there were so many things I had missed out in my 1st attempt.
2.) Heavy emphasis on application of concepts. The application files are phenomenal. There is so much of original practice questions, very similar to the GMAT level. Something that you wont find anywhere else on net except the GMAC OG.
3.)Flexibility due to access to video lectures online.
4.) Great support and concept clearing by eGMAT team. The weekend sessions and workshop are real eye openers with the discussions that take place. Lot of concepts get cleared.
5.) The whole team is so helpful and make you feel that they have taken up as their personal goal to make sure you cross the 700 mark.
6.) Scholaranium is such a value addition.

I have already raised my score from V28 to V36 consistently in mocks and plan to touch the 39-40 mark as I feel even this is do-able with eGMATs course material and support.
I just felt that this review would be very much helpful for all those like me still wondering where they went wrong. This course is an investment for your future, I believe.
Would let all of you know how I performed in my final GMAT. I still have a month left for that.

Cheers.

e-GMAT - Simply Amazing!

After a failed attempt at the GMAT, I was desperately looking for a verbal course that could seal the deal for me. I had been attending the free sessions from e-gmat but since I was doing reasonably well in the mock tests leading to the exams (scoring in the V35 to V38 range), I never bothered to take up the full course. After my first failed attempt and a lot of agony, I purchased the MGMAT verbal books but even they could not help me build a strategic approach for the GMAT.
Finally, I subscribed for the e-GMAT course and it was a real game changer. With the initial lessons in SC, I started to feel the difference. With every section that I completed and with every minute that I spent on e-GMAT, my accuracy, and thus my confidence, grew. I knew all the right reasons for choosing or rejecting an answer choice.
I used their amazing resources such as section tests, blogs, scholaranium (an amazing tool for a SWOT analysis) and others.
e-GMAT is really an amazing course as it simplifies the most difficult of the topics and more importantly it helps build a strategy which I think is the key for the GMAT exam.

Best Verbal Study Material for Non-Natives

I took the verbal online course 6 months back, and this course has been very beneficial in my preparation. My area of weakness was the verbal section of GMAT. E-GMAT diagnostic tests helped narrow down the sub-topics that needed more attention.
My performance in mocks has also improved. There has been a drastic improvement in my verbal ability especially for Critical Reasoning and Reading Comprehension. I am still polishing my skills in Sentence Correction before I plan to take further mock tests
This ability quizzes are part of the Scholaranium tool offered by e-GMAT which gives the true estimate of your weaknesses by providing detail statistics. Also, for each attempted question you get analytics of the percentage correct attempts and the average time spent for each question. This quite helps in assessing the time we spend on each question based on its difficulty.
I will surely recommend this course to GMAT aspirants.

Good Gmat Pre-Course for Non-Native Speakers

I have started preparing for the GMAT sometime around July 2015. At the beginning, I only used the GMAT Official Guide and some other resources (Manhattan GMAT) for my study. Having scored only 640 (Q:48 and V: 29) on my first GMAT test, I was devastated. I realised that in order to improve my score I had to concentrate my effort on the Verbal section.

Through my research at various online forums (Beatthegmat, Gmatclub), I found very positive reviews of eGMAT and decided to give this a try. It was probably one of the best investments I have made so far.

I bought the Verbal Online course which included separate study sections for CR, SC and RC. Having tried a number of other GMAT study resources, I have to say the Verbal Online is the most comprehensive GMAT prep for Verbal in the market. It is even more useful for non-native English speakers like myself.

All the study sections are very well structured. You will learn simple concepts first, followed by practice questions at the end of every module to reinforce your learning. Advance concepts are introduced later on and you can also practice the concept with actual Official questions. This method is very useful to build your knowledge and improve your performance gradually.

The best thing about this course is that it teaches you a consistent and reliable process to tackle SC and CR questions. For example, eGMAT teaches you to focus on the correct meaning of a SC problem and understand the sentence structure before reviewing the answer choices. Regarding CR, you need to understand the assumptions and pre-think the answers for each question. Once you have mastered these techniques, a lot of the tough GMAT questions will be more straightforward.

Since taking the course, I have improved my accuracy rate on in both noticed a significant improvement in my performance in both SC and CR. My accuracy rate is now around 80-85% for CR questions.

I totally recommend this course to anyone looking to improve their GMAT performance.
