I took the e-GMAT VLP to learn GMAT specific concepts and tips and tricks to crack the verbal component. Well, I hope this is what we all look for, that unmentioned secret tricks of the game, but eGMAT verbal is beyond that. As a non-native English speaker, the language is not taught to us the same way as it is in other English speaking countries. eGMAT verbal complements that traditional teaching and gives you a comprehensive understanding of the language. This i feel is a differentiating factor from other courses. I can guarantee you that if you follow the course structure as it is prescribed, you will be happy of making a good decision and probably the best decision for improving your verbal score. In my case, I read the articles on economist and nytimes to apply the concepts i learnt.
On the day of my exam, I was down with fever and was feeling miserable ( talk of Murphy's law :-/). I was getting through each section with a sense of dissatisfaction for not being able to concentrate. I could see that in verbal, I was not able to give more time to sentence correction( the long underlined sentences were very difficult to concentrate with watering eyes and a headache). And at the end i managed a V37 to score a 720. If not for the course I am sure my score at the max would be around 30.
So to sum it up, VLP is the best verbal course for non-natives and one of the best courses for anyone in general. You will not regret it for sure.
As a non native, verbal was obviously my weak point while studying for the GMAT. For my first attempt at GMAT, I studied largely from the OG and Manhattan Guides. I ended up on a 710 (Q50, V 36). While giving the GMAT I could make out that I was not confident about my answers in the SC section. I knew I needed to improve on the SC to take my score to a 740+.
While searching for an online prep program, I found that E-GMAT had excellent reviews on almost all the forums including the GMAT club. One of the best reviews that I had heard about the e-GMAT course was that the e-GMAT SC is the best and helps you to achieve 100 % accuracy, but in a longer span of time. Since I had already identified that my area of weakness was SC, I purchased the SC course of e-GMAT and I have to say it never disappointed me.
The following were the highlights of the course :
1.The ease and simplicity with which the modules are explained are very comfortable for non native speakers.
2. The various articles regarding the use of as vs like, due to vs because of, verb-ed modifier vs verb-ing modifier were brilliant and believe me these help in saving a lot of time in GMAT. Knowing the difference in usage of these terms can help you eliminate 2-3 options at once.
3. Its just about the confidence that the e-GMAT SC gives you. You start knowing exactly why the answer is right and why the other options are wrong.
It was the result of this confidence that I ended up with a 770 score (Q51, V44) on my second attempt at GMAT.
A big thanks to the e-GMAT team !!!!
One of the right things I have done in my prep is registering to e-GMAT verbal course. Though I'm not a fan of listening to online presentations, I liked its friendly audio and visual aid. The vdieos are very organised topic wise and helped me understanding the root concepts. The small tests at the end of the every concept helped me in memorizing it very efficiently.
Last and best feature of e-GMAT is their "Scholaranium". It helped me improve my proficiency in an exciting way. It helped me in analysing my mistakes and let me improve gradually but consistently.
Over all I can credit 100% say e-GMAT verbal online for my score
If someone asks me about the GMAT course that could really enhance the verbal knowledge for a non-native speaker, then I will undoubtedly introduce e-gmat course to them. Whilst having not taken the GMAT yet, I have a strong confidence that I am going to nail the beast soon. In general, e-gmat has done a great job in providing the non-native speakers with a structural method to answer a GMAT verbal question. The content is easier to understand and solid in depth of understanding. It significantly reduced the time I took to answer each question. I would highly recommend e-GMAT course for all non-native speakers.
One of the best available verbal prep resource in the market is undoubtedly e-GMAT. I have been using e-GMAT for more than 5 months now. e-GMAT has a unique and standard way of solving any given problem. A set of defined rules will guide you easily through a 700+ question without any hassle. Specially for SC, e-GMAT process is quite unique. It makes SC question look like a 600+ Quant question. All you need to do is follow their 3 step process religiously.
Further, e-GMAT has a great turn around time for replying to any query you have, be it via emails or GC forums.
I highly recommend e-GMAT to my fellow aspirants who wants to excel in verbal and improve their GMAT score to a great extent.
In my first attempt, I could not improve my Verbal Score beyond 27 using MGMAT and I wanted a solid coaching on SC, CR and RC fundamentals. While I was searching for verbal courses on GMAT Club I came across e-gmat free articles and free videos and I really liked the approach of solving the verbal questions. What I found was amazing, though the same concepts are covered in MGMAT verbal books somehow I was able to grasp and learn more from e-gmat video lectures and was able to solve the same questions with so much ease.
I personally think for non-natives e-gmat approach works better than any other gmat courses available on the market, at least for me it worked.
The live sessions by Rajat and Payal were very interactive in nature and helped me to strengthen my concepts. After going through the course, I was able to solve most official questions easily. The program is designed in such a way that students can progress at their own pace and can attend multiple sessions and there are tons of questions available for practice.
I really recommend this course if you are a non-native and struggling with the Verbal part of the exam.
A very effective and structured verbal course for those looking to get a good score in the gmat. The course follows a very structured approach for solving the sentence correction . Focus on the meaning helps you take the big leap to improve sentence correction. Also, the live sessions are really helpful as doubts can be clarified , and concepts are further strengthened on these live sessions.
After having gone through other prep material I needed a course that was structured and easy to follow with maximum gains , and this course provides all that for a minimum fee. For verbal this course beats all other course in the market
I registered for e-gmat’s VLP course in early 2015. I had already registered for the free trial and went through all the videos and it didn’t take me long to register for the complete course.
The eGMAT’s 3 step approach to SC and pre-thinking in CR are a blast.
Earlier in CR Qs I used to jump directly on to the options in order to evaluate the choices. This method took more time and my accuracy did not improve beyond 70%. Then I attended Rajat’s pre-thinking session and tried to incorporate the falsification method in CR Qs. To my utter surprise not only my accuracy improved but also the time required to tackle the Q decreased. Pre-thinking in CR’s helps you to understand the core of the argument, thereby making it easier to evaluate the answer choices.
The importance of the meaning in SC Q’s and the 3 step approach is one of the best methods I have come across. My SC strike rate has increased and now I am more confident while marking the answers.
Moreover, the Scholaranium – a quiz platform which has been launched recently, gives you the ability to measure your weaknesses in different areas and provides you with lots a practice questions that too with awesome explanations.
Finally, the live sessions, which are conducted by their superb faculty, provide you with great insights on common traps. All the SC live sessions and CR pre thinking session were an eye opener for me.
I would highly recommend the verbal course to anyone who wants to crack verbal in GMAT.
This goes without saying - eGMAT’s verbal course is THE only weapon to win the battle.
I am a current E-GMAT student and thought that giving other current students info on this great course would help them make decisions on their verbal partner. I started out at V21 on my diagnostic in Feb 2015 but am glad to report that through enrolling in the E-GMAT Verbal Live Prep, I have tremendously improved and am now consistently scoring V40-V41. The course is well structured, with Sentence Correction, Critical Reasoning and Reading Comprehension concepts unmatched in the industry.
The concepts are easy to understand especially for non-natives like me. The instructors, Meghna, Neeti, Rajat, Payal, Japinder are all awesome and avail all their time to answer students' doubts. The introduction of Scholaranium this year was the best the company did. You can gauge your weeknesses and make strides to improve. The sessions are very well organised and are easy to follow. The session prerequisites give a student a sense of what to expect in the interactive live session.
I would unconditionally refer any student to E-GMAT Verbal Live Prep Course for help in Verbal.

I have been amazed by the excellence of the GMAT Quant Course by E-GMAT so I thought of giving a review so that I can help other students in my situation. I was an average guy in Quant so I needed a course that would provide foundation concepts needed in developing proficiency in Quant. I went for the E-GMAT free trial and I didn't take time before I decided to enroll in the full E-GMAT Quant Course. This is surely one of the best decisions I have taken with respect to my studies.
The Live sessions conducted by excellent tutors. The concepts are now a cake walk for me. I have seen a huge improvement on my mocks, from low Q40s to Q48/Q49. After every section, the course links with OG Guides for cementing the concepts. I found this very helpful.
The instructors are available 24-7 to answer any student doubt. I will not hesitate to recommend E-GMAT Quant Live to any student having any challenge in Quant.
What are you waiting for. Go ahead and try it. You can try the free Number Properties Live session and see how E-GMAT does it.
Thanks
