I had been always Q49+ from the start of the preparation.

I got only less than V25 till my first attempt, which was disappointing.

Post my first attempt i started with E-gmat verbal online. It was very comprehensive study tool and i recommend it to all non-native speakers(For the reasons given below).

Scholaranium is a tool which is unique and has been developed by E-gmat for testing any candidates true skill level.

Now, i am able to solve SC questions very fast with good accuracy.

Coming to CR the concept of prethinking is very unique of eGMAT. Prethinking not only helps you in reducing your solving time but also greatly improves your accuracy.

Overall, this is a must course for all non-native speakers and where verbal seems to be the only hurdle for conquering GMAT.

I am very happy to write this review and hope this would help GMAT aspirants. My goal when I started preparing was to score 680-700. My first mock score was 490 (Q39, V19). I had anticipated that I would need to work on Verbal but had never imagined that I would start with such a low score on Verbal. A couple of weeks into my break, I attended the free session by e-GMAT (thanks to GMAT Club for the invite). While I always knew the importance of meaning, the session demonstrated how to employ meaning to get to the right answer. The method outlined in the session was very methodical and yet very simple.

If you are having hard time with sentence corrections apply this technique.
Do not rush through the original sentence and move on to looking for splits. Rather, read the given sentence slowly and understand its meaning by focusing on sentence structure. Sentence structure = knowing and accounting for all the noun, pronouns, verbs, modifiers, and parallel lists. Once you do that you should know the meaning. Once you know the meaning, identify faults in sentence structure. Once you have found 2 or three such errors, look for splits and get to the right answer.
Even though this method seems longer, in reality it is much more efficient than rushing to the answer choices directly.

The different type of CR questions explained in e-GMAT course would really give you an upper hand during your verbal section. If you identify the type you can save a lot of time for other questions. The RC course will make you learn techniques to break down the complex paragraphs and understand its meaning. This definitely reduces lot of pressure and time when you get a RC passage on an unfamiliar topic.

The scholaranium is one such platform which would boost your score. A lot of questions are available on the scholaranium and also you can keep a track of your mistakes. This helps you to improve with the every new topic you learn.

My overall experience with e-GMAT was exceptional and I would suggest everyone to go ahead with the course if you are struggling in Verbal. I have raised my score from V19 to V36. So, this would definitely bring an improvement to your score.

Overall the verbal online course is well designed for non-natives. The SC part is the best and striking feature of the course. Course content is clear and well presented. It presents concepts that needs to be practised initially but gradually you save time when you apply the embed the thought process into your thinking. With regards to improvement, I will say there should be a summary of all concepts videos so you can go through them before the exam or before doing mocks. Apart from this, I found the course to be quite useful. I tried the Quant course, which found to be equally good and well presented.

I think that one of the key secrets to achieve 700+ score on the GMAT for people who doesn’t have the natural ability for standardized tests is perseverance.
I have been studying for a while, most of the time with OG and with resources from big brands. I took classes, and private tutoring, but the improvements were not there. It was until I hear about E-Gmat that my scores start improving. I was first skeptical, so I decided to take the free video sessions for SC, and after that I understood that E-Gmat method was ideal for me. I first subscribed to the Verbal Live Prep and got access to Live Sessions for each of the sections, and a huge number of explanatory videos that where very helpful to improve my comprehension and abilities of specific topics. After understanding that my issue was not the time given for each question, but my gaps in the approach and concepts, I finally untapped my potential on the Verbal section, improving on my mock tests from an original V24 to V40.
For the Quant section, since I am an engineer, I decided not to follow their method, and stuck on self-practice of problems on the OG.
After a bunch of mock tests from different resources, I got to the point of getting the 700+ results I was expecting. So I decided to present the GMAT at the end of 2015. I was very confident of getting a high score, but unfortunately my quant skills abandoned me that day, and even though my verbal results were very strong, I did not get the 700+ result I was expecting.
Therefore after a break of studying, I decided to try again, but this time I got the subscription to the Quant sessions on E-gmat during this 2nd quarter of 2016. I am planning to take the exam in two months, I am confident that now that I am using the same resources for my Verbal and Quant, I will achieve my target score.
I found the e-gmat method as the most logical and easy to follow when compared to other big brands. Additionally, I like that it has a very well re-designed and interactive webpage that allows you to easily keep track of your progress, and keep engaged and motivated to continue studying. Finally, its content is very complete, explanations to OG questions are very detail, instructors are very responsive to student questions, and customer service makes you feel as special and unique as you can be.

Due to this, in my opinion E-gmat is a great resource and might be enough to get well prepared for the GMAT

Great prep for verbal

Was initially wondering whether I should go for a paid verbal course given the vast material one already has freely available. A lot of people recommended the eGMAT lessons and I decided to give it a shot. Loved the fact there was a session on each microtopic - which helped in making the concepts very clear. Also, the quiz at the end gave good practice and helped in solidifying the same. Would probably attribute a 20-30 pointer difference to my result to these guys. One can also take a trial to really get a feel of the course. Works perfectly for guys who want to study at their own pace.

e-GMAT verbal online course to the rescue...

e-GMAT courses are very well designed and effective for non-native speakers who do not have a "ear" to correct mistakes in SC. They help you follow a structured 3 step approach to tackle all SC problems in GMAT. This helps us deal with the GMAT as any regular "standardized" test and easily breeze through 650 plus questions in GMAT. For questions above 700 level you need to utilize the scholarnarium tool designed by e-GMAT team. This is a highly efficient tool preparing us for the tougher questions on the GMAT. So in total, i have personally benefited from the e-GMAT verbal online course. My accuracy in SC has improved from an abysmal 40% to over 80%. Also i am using this tool to strengthen my CR & RC performance. You need to plan the usage of the course in the same pattern as suggested by e-GMAT team. Also practice the OG questions in the order suggested by them. Even they have prepared detailed solutions to all the OG questions which is much more in-depth as compared to the official guide solutions. I would definitely recommend verbal online e-gmat course to all those who want to improve their verbal performance in GMAT.

I undertook the Verbal course for 40 days and could achieve a score of 700 (Q50, V34). e-GMAT indeed is one of the best courses out there, specially for non-natives. They have divided the entire course in a very structured manner. SC, RC, CR- all the three components of Verbal are very well explained in a methodical manner. Any non-native can score well at GMAT by religiously following the methods described by the instructors at e-GMAT. The support at eGMAT is also great with a quick turnaround time for any query.
I would recommend eGMAT Verbal Online course for anyone who has no idea as to how to go about the verbal preparation.

SC has been a problem for me. E-GMAT approach to logic is sound for not only the test prep but also for day to day usage. I had already referred few other recommended sources but they really did not help me in improving my SC accuracy rate significantly. I found many reviews for e-gmat's SC course that convinced me to sign up for the course. The most important thing about e-gmat is that: they claim their course is designed for non-natives. This fact drew my attention. I finally took the e-gmat Verbal Live Pre course. The interface is very clean; topics are well arranged. The interface tracks your progress. The explanation to each question is explained very methodologically. I really appreciate their efforts in building this excellent platform.

I would like to second on the above mentioned tag line (of e-gmat)- "best course for non-natives". The course was a perfect fit for me. Not only did the course provide me knowledge, but also it changed the way I look at Verbal now. All the sections are very well built up and all the topics are nicely aligned. You can always skip the basic topics if you are good at those. Writing this review in a hurry. Will post a new one with all the details and hopefully with a better score. P.S.- Scholarnium has a huge pool of questions and one must use this feature.

I am using the eGMAT verbal online course for the past 5 months now. I must say that they are the best in the town verbal stuff available for non natives. My first GMAT score was V21. Now after the structured approach to verbal questions, such as pre-thinking in CR, RC & sentence breakdown & meaning understanding SC helped me break the ice. My mock scores for verbal are now around V35. Also the GMAT CLUB mock tests in quant helped me a lot more. Intially q45 was my score. after taking many of the qaunt mocks, now it has improved to around V49.
