Verbal for Gmat is very different from the verbal on other exams such as GRE, CAT(Indian B-schools). Within the few months, I exhausted all the resources including Manhattan books, Official Guide. However, I was not able to reach a verbal score of even 30.
I had read reviews on the Gmat-club about E-Gmat verbal course, especially for non-native speakers. So for the final push in my verbal preparation I decided to purchase the verbal online course of E-Gmat.

Review of the Verbal Course->
Master comprehension-: 5/5
Sentence Correction:5/5
Reading comprehension:3/5
Critical Reasoning: Did not use.

The master comprehension section & Sentence Correction are stand-out among them as they focus on the very basics which are needed for cracking the Gmat.
I did not find RC material to be much helpful and did not have time for the CR material but have heard that it's also very Good.

I subscribed to e-gmat after having scored 660 on my first attempt. I had attended a couple of webinars and was impressed by the content provided through e-books and ability quizzes. What really helps is that e-gmat doesn't give you any shortcuts - its just a clear focus on basics and a well structured content that goes a long way in consolidating the basics so that the ability for getting those higher level questions is enhanced. The clear sequence of content, starting with concept files to application quizzes and practice quizzes surely help clear key concepts before taking up the scholaranium (which in itself is a great resource) and OG questions. After using the course content I am about to embark on my second attempt and I am sure e-gmat will surely help me get to my target score.

E-GMAT- Best for Verbal

I took the Verbal Online course on E-GMAT prep provider. The detailed video lectures and crisp summary help understand the concepts very well especially sentence correction. It segregates the topics efficiently and in small chunks which is very helpful in understanding difficult concepts. The examples in each section are to the point and bring out the essential focus point of the topic. The questionnaire after every topic helps you find your weak points in particular concepts. Also the detailed answer and approach is what of utmost significance.
My verbal was very poor the first time i gave GMAT. After taking e-gmat verbal online course my score increased significantly from V24 to V37. This increase is the major reason for my success at GMAT. I would definitely suggest Verbal Online as it would be very efficient in preparing your for GMAT Verbal in the limited timeframe.

The first great think about EGMAT is the structure of the course. Every lesson is followed by a quizz that helps you build a solid ground from which to improve later. Then I teaches you how to reduce problems in a way that its relative easy to apply the knowledge from the classes.
The course teaches you very well how to attack problems in a structured maner. It has lots of practice with different levels of dificulty and they really put a lot of effort to explain the solution. Also the schoalarium platform has a practical diagnostic board that lets you see the topics in which you are good at or those where more practice is needed.
Another good feature is that the course also "forces" you to solve the Official guide. You might think at first that the course makes you spend more money than its actually needed but it is totaly worth it!

I took GMAT on 1st JAN 2018 and scored 700.What was most satisfying in the score report was verbal score of 37. I understand that V37 is not a great score, however improving from V17 (in my first mock test) to V37 is a refreshing change. After initially failing to increase my verbal score despite referring to multiple resources, i turned to E-GMAT verbal online course and that decision made a big difference .

Their course content is comprehensive and detailed. The best part about the course was their CR course which encourages people to pre-think. Initially you might feel that pre-thinking is time-consuming, however with pratice you can solve the CR questions under 1 minute.Pre-thinking in CR will definitely help to increase the accuracy and speed . SC section covers all the basics you need to know to conquer GMAT SC. scholaranium is a good collection of most up-to-date GMAT question with detailed explanations.

Overall, I really recommend GMAT verbal course to anyone who is struggling with GMAT Verbal

I started enrolling for the e-GMAT Live Prep for 1 month and I managed to attain a GMAT score of 610. Although this might not seem much, I studied only for a short period of time. Having said that, I intend to retake the GMAT again in around 3 months time and I will still have e-GMAT to use.

I find that e-GMAT is a very good resource and quite worthwhile for its price. As a native speaker, I found it very useful and easy to understand. However, despite being a native speaker, in school, I was not properly taught what are verbs, nouns, adjectives, etc, but learnt these over time and years from conversations with my friends at a basic level. So, since the e-GMAT Verbal section is good, since it uses a lot of such keywords, I was not able to fully utilise those materials until I slowly learnt the definitions and usage of those technicalities and fundamentals of English.

Over time, one will get used to the GMAT format and how they test you and you will improve greatly the more you invest your time practicing.

Good luck to everyone taking the GMAT!

“How much time is required to prepare for GMAT”. with this question in mind I started my preparation for GMAT. I asked friends and they told me just one Month maximum is required that too if you are weak in English. I took their suggestion and started with MGMAT Sentence Correction, I tried to assimilate the jargons of English grammar. Then I gave MGMAT mocks and did not do well in the exam. I found that although I knew the rules of grammar , I was clueless about the applying it on the question. About CR and RC, I was totally clueless and all options seems to be correct for me. Then one of my friend recommended me to go through the free session of E-Gmat. I studied all the free session of verbal, and really liked their methodlogy of teaching. I, then enrolled for the verbal online e-gmat course. I liked the course because firstly it was in audio visual form, which makes my mind fully occupied, and Secondly course has quizzes after each concepts. Moreover, this course taught me to breakdown the sentence in to parts and then identify the errors . This approach initially took took time but then with practice it got internalized. Few of the concepts of modifier such as Verb-ing , Verb-ed modifier and Noun + Noun modifier are clearly explained in this course. I cemented my most of the concepts of grammar through this course.
Coming to the RC and CR, this course taught me “How to approach each type of CR and RC questions and how to eliminate each answer”. I learnt the reading strategy and which helped me to improve my comprehensions of passage.
Scholaranium is verbal quiz bank of E-gmat which comes along with the verbal online. Scholaranium quizzes has advance analytics which helped me to know my weak areas and through this I practiced more questions in my weak areas. Questions in Scholaranium are quite similar to the GMAT which helped me to train my mind for the GMAT like test.

My journey with e-GMAT

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by score report [?]

Improvement N/A

Course e-GMAT Online Focused

I took my first GMAT in 2015 and scored a 610. I was hugely disatisfied with the score but due to other
personal committments, I did not get a chance to re-take the exam.

So towards the end of last year, I thought I will consider taking the GMAT again and started actively looking for resources.
For my first attempt, I relied mainly on the Manhattan series and Official Guides. I felt that these materials were good to
give me an understanding of the topics tested and to practice the format of the exam.
However, after my analysis on my first attempt I realized what I was missing on was the right strategy.
I figured out that my main issue was not having a proper strategy to tackle the exam. I thought the best way to overcome this was to find a good course which will help me teach me sound strategies to approach GMAT in a better way.

One of my friends introduced me to e-GMAT. She had taken the course and improved by 100 points in her GMAT.
Inspired by her massive improvement, I thought I should give e-GMAT a try. I first started by reading reviews about e-GMAT on GMAT Club and Beat The GMAT forums.
I also started attending some of the free webinars conducted by the e-GMAT team. The webinars were great in understanding more about how e-GMAT courses are structured and also to get to know their teaching style.
After attending the GMAT strategy webinar and a couple of other Sentence Correction and Critical Reasoning webinars, I felt that I should purchase the course.
Hence,I enrolled into the Verbal and Quant online courses.
Needless to say, this was one of the best decisions I could have made!
The videos and materials provided by e-GMAT are amazing and very detailed. The sentence correction videos were very structuredand it walks through how to understand the meaning of a sentence, identifying clauses, subject-verb agreements and identifying
the errors in the sentence. The 3 step process for Sentence Correction was very helpful and easy for me to apply on complex Sentence Correction questions. One of the key strategies for Critical Reasoning was Pre-thinking which also greatly helped me in solving Critical Reasoning Problems. For Reading Comprehension, the importance given to get immersed in the passage was a great tip for a person like me who used to dread long passages. I no longer look at long passages as something which tires me out.
Instead, this strategy has helped me approach RC in a more relaxed manner which in turn has improved my overall accuracy.
One of the key things I like about eGMAT is the Pre-Assessment and Post-Assessment quizzes. These help to track my progress in each module and is a good way to test your knowledge in each sub topic.
I took 2 mock tests after finishing the Verbal course and I saw a 4 points improvement in my Verbal score (from 32 to 36).
The improvement can definitely be attributed to the Verbal online course as I used the approach recommended by the course to tackle the questions.
I also think that the e-GMAT Verbal course is the best among all other resources currently available for non-native speakers.
My GMAT is scheduled in a few weeks time and I am currently focusing on the Quant course. It has been great so far and I hope to see a solid score improvement for Quant as well.
For students looking at course options for GMAT, I would strongly urge you to consider e-GMAT as it is definitely worth
your money and time!

Best SC course

I started preparing for GMAT July’17. The preparation was on and off as it was difficult to manage it while working full time, 6 days a week. Initially, I didn’t not take any courses and started prepping Verbal using Manhattan books. Things were very new for me. It took a while to get accustomed to it. But even after 3-4 months of prep it seemed like I was where I started, hardly any improvement in Verbal section.
Then, my senior introduced me to e-GMAT and I cannot thank her enough for having done that. Initially I was a little sceptical about joining but then I saw a few free lectures and decided to go aahead. The way and the structure of the lectures made them interesting. The structuring of the course is such that before moving on to another topic we have sufficient practice of the previous ones so that it gets imbibed in our system.
The verbal course is a blessing for everyone and the scholaranium is like a cherry on the top. The scholaranium tests can be customised as per your need and practise.
I started the course with V27. I dreaded SC like anything. Barely managing 20-30% accuracy.
I wouldn't say that a V35 is an awesome score, but for someone like me who dreaded SC to such a large extent, it was definitely an accomplishment, especially since I was now able to answer the questions with logic rather than on a hunch that it sounds right.
Thank you e-GMAT once again.
