Like many of you – I was a victim of inconsistent scores in the verbal section. My scores were hovering around the 31-35 level, and while my accuracy increased in one sub-section (say RC) – the accuracy of the other sub sections took a knock on effect. After a disappointing verbal score in my first GMAT – I decided it’s time to take on a more fundamental approach. My primary intention of purchasing the e-gmat course was to get hold of additional quant questions and if required have the option of accessing any of the Quant subsections that I believed I was weak in. As a non native - I consider the Quant Section of the GMAT as my strength and hence I was initially not convinced on how much I would gain by going through all the tutorials. I started off with just the concepts of Permutation and Combination and was pleasantly surprised to see how the fundamentals were discussed and presented in a clear yet easy to absorb way. The course is very well structured and trains one to think logically even while reading a question. The live sessions are a great asset as they emphasise on solving tough 700 level questions.
I am still preparing for the exam but my accuracy has indeed improved. Having now completed the e-gmat Quant Course - I am confident that I will be able to hit the 50 point target that I have set for the exam.

I strongly recommend e-Gmat verbal online course, especially if you want to improve your verbal score. I , myself improved my verbal score from 27/51 to 37/41. I took my 1st attempt at GMAT exam on 7th Feb and scored 690 (V34, M50).

Although the score was below par as per my expectation, I scored 91 percentile in SC (based on ESR report).All Credit to e-GMAT team.

After going through other materials (MGMAT verbal books, etc), I can say for sure that the quality of content of e-GMAT is a notch higher. The methodology used in this program really suits a non-native speaker. One aspect that needs special mention is the quality of questions that are present throughout the course. It touched almost all the tricky concepts in the SC section. Also, the explanation is by far the most comprehensive solution one will find in the market. Good thing is they have approached every question following the same strategy. This consistent approach enables one to attack new problems with more confidence.

I started GMAT preparation with Verbal Score 26 in Diagnostic Exam but now I consistently managed to score 35+ in Verbal(Mock Test) & latest score is 39 after I emphasized thoroughly learning of concepts in SC,RC & CR by E-GMAT

SC: The lessons are delivered in structured way & it is easy to grasp the underlying concepts. The approach is well balanced between understanding meaning of sentence & grammer rules which gives good confidence in marking the correct answer choice. My accuracy has improved considerably & I now know the logic behind why answer choice is correct. The practices questions are challenging & one can learn good number of tricks while solving these questions

CR: I wasn't sure whether pre-thinking makes difference while solving CR & continued with my old practice of answering CR questions. Due to this mistake, my consistency in CR was fluctuating & i decided to revise CR concepts once again & to practise on pre thinking skills. With few days of preparation, I saw good improvement in marking right answer choice & also my timing to answer question has greatly improved. I'm now able to think in right direction even before looking at the answer choice,thereby improving accuracy

RC: RC is taught in very structured manner & by following religiously tricks & tips taught by Egmat, my timing & accuracy is improved. Now I'm totally involved & understand RC passages irrespective of interests in subject

Although my exam is schedule in a month, I'm quite confident to face verbal section keeping in mind lesson from EGMAT

In fact, my friends have purchased EGMAT based on my recommendation & they really like the teaching method of EGMAT.

Overall the course was good for the amount paid. $99 is not a ton to spend on test prep and if you are looking to prep for the GMAT on a budget I would definitely recommend Magoosh.

The video explanations to every question were a nice feature that I had not seen from other test prep companies.

The Verbal questions from Magoosh can be very difficult (more difficult than the actual exam). Some of the RC passages were way too long but overall I think it prepped me a decent amount.

Quant questions were about average. Probably at the level of difficulty one could expect to see on the actual exam.

IR had a horrible format, would avoid these on Magoosh and use GMATPrep for IR stuff.

The score predictor and adaptive setting on Magoosh is way off. This is probably the area where most improvement is needed. The one practice test is just a combination of questions from their question bank and I felt that the adaptive algorithm wasn't very accurate. Score predictor gave me a predicted score well below all of my other practice exams and actual score.

Overall, good product for $99. There are better prep companies out there, but be prepared to spend way more money.

I had joined this course as I was very weak in sentence correction. After confusing myself,using multiple sources to learn the rules, I choose to devote one complete week on exclusively using e-gmat. My hardwork paid off and I choose to rely on e-gmat, along with the official guide+ GMATPrep official question bank to build on my skills. I used e-gmat primarily to learn SC rules and used the official guide to build on my CR and RC skills. A good course for IR as well. For the quant section, Magoosh is great. It has a huge question bank with video explanations for each question, tons of video lessons, and great customer service. The course is cheaper than most other courses and really helps you improve.

The verbal section is not bad but by itself not enough in my opinion. It should be combined with other services such as Powerscore's CR bible and MGMAT SC Correction. I got a 40 points score improvement after studying for 1 month.

My biggest problem was time management and I ran out on time in both sections forced to guess the last 5 or 6 questions. Thus, I believe that I'm able to get a higher score than I received on my most recent test.

I loved Magoosh due to the on demand lessons. I was able to watch them on my computer and on my phone. It made studying a lot better. Each lesson had some practice problems in it where you pause the video and work out the problem then resume. These were very helpful.

In addition to the lesson app, there is a math flashcards app and an idiom flashcards app.

Each lesson page has the transcript available so you read it as well. This was helpful when I wanted to review and read fast instead of having to listen. You can click on text and it takes you right to the prior sentence on the video.

Each practice questions comes with a video and text explanation and reference to lessons.

The only negative I feel is that there were only about 50 very very hard questions on the quant. I wish they would have had more, but you can get these elsewhere as well. I used the OG and other GMAT club resources.

I wanted a 50 point improvement and I got it! I am very happy.
