Strengths:
Very affordable. Good accessible course. I really liked the refresher !
Would make the product better:
more questions in quant section
It was very helpful to get an affordable course and it helped me in refreshing the concepts very well ! Th e quant refresher was nice but could include more proactive questions and the verbal refresher was good too ! I also practiced using the GMATCLUB resources for improving my practice tests score and it's paid resources were really helpful ! I'm thankful to both the GMATCLUB and MAGOOSH team for helping me with the right set of resources. It was a good experience being a part of this community to learn about GMAT preparation and I'm thankful for it.

Strengths:
It was a good product to begin with.
Would make the product better:
They can add more questions to solve and add couple more full length test to examine the final readiness for the exam
I had a very positive experience with this GMAT course. The overall structure was well planned, starting from the basics and gradually moving to advanced concepts, which made learning comfortable and effective. The faculty explained complex topics in a simple and clear manner, especially in Quant and Verbal sections. Practice questions were well designed and closely matched the actual GMAT pattern. Regular mock tests and detailed performance analysis helped me identify my weak areas and improve consistently. The study material was comprehensive and up to date. Overall, this course provided strong guidance, confidence, and excellent preparation for the GMAT exam.
Strengths:
I felt that quant video lessons were very helpful in building up my foundations.
Would make the product better:
The verbal videos and especially the questions were very different from on the actual test.
I started the Magoosh Premium Plan on May 16, 2024, and scored 575 on February 8, 2025. I started seriously prepping for the exam from November. The program’s strongest aspects were its Quant video lessons and detailed video explanations for Quant questions, which were clear and effective. The Data Interpretation (DI) section was also well-structured and helpful. However, I found the Verbal section lacking in depth and had to supplement it with GMAT Ninja for better preparation. While Magoosh is great for Quant and DI, those aiming for a strong Verbal score might need additional resources. Overall, it's a solid budget-friendly option to build up your foundation, particularly for visual learners.
I purchased the 12 month access pack to Magoosh. I had also used this for my SAT and knew of its quality
Here is my review
It starts at fundamentals so if youre someone who has been out of college/school for a long time. This serves as a good refresher course.
It has very nice questions that are similar to the official. Clear and concise explanations
On the other hand, it starts at such a basic level that it skips over the tips n tricks that you may need to swiftly move through the exam, which can be supplemented with webinars of other companies as to not invest more money or youtube
The number of questions and mocks available is also not that much.
But again at its price point, it offers a structured approach to gmat which is the main reason i went for it with a decent selection of questions to practice.
Strengths:
Concise and clear videos for easy consumption.
Would make the product better:
I think the number of questions can be added.
There could be some questions in the learning section and some for practice, that are not repetitive.
Overall, my experience with Magoosh has been quite good. The platform is affordable and offers a wealth of helpful resources. Although I didn't achieve my desired score, I found the tools and materials provided by Magoosh to be extremely beneficial.
The video lessons are clear and well-structured, making complex concepts easier to grasp. The practice questions are diverse and challenging, closely mimicking the actual exam format, which helped me feel more prepared. Additionally, the detailed explanations for each question were invaluable for understanding my mistakes and improving my skills.
Another highlight is the user-friendly interface, which made navigating the study materials straightforward and efficient. The customizable study schedules and progress tracking features helped me stay on track and monitor my improvement over time.
While I didn't reach my target score, the overall experience with Magoosh was positive and significantly contributed to my preparation. I would recommend Magoosh to anyone looking for a cost-effective and comprehensive study aid.
Strengths:
The Quant section in this course is just amazing. Totally loved the way the course captures all aspects of GMAT quant. Small videos keep me engaging. Though my intension to take up the course was for verbal improvement, I did enjoy the quant section more. The score predictor in the magoosh software was just awesome as my official score did match with the predicted score.
Would make the product better:
The verbal course seems very old and needs refurbishment. Overall the verbal course if ok but would expect a lot more from the team. The SC question bank seems very old compared to current official questions.
Overall, the course offers the best for value especially when you club the discount it offers on purchase of the official prep materials form mab.com. This is huge benefit since everyone has to buy them. I would rate the course a 4/5 due to the old nature of the verbal course. Since I have more than 6 months of subscription left I would be happy if they provide some updated materials. The quant explanations as mentioned are awesome and simple to understand especially the topics on combinations, set theory and probability. I hope maggosh updates the materials in verbal sections. I wish them all the best.
Magoosh Quant and Verbal practice questions are good enough, in number and in quality as well. 1 thing, which magoosh can develop a lot is the way its Verbal program is structured. It is quite confusing in the manner and there is no continuity. They need to restructure their program. I finished the entire verbal program, but then I started reading Manhattan strategy guides on SC & CR, and then I came to understand that why everyone advises to read these books first. There are videos on different topics, but they are not aligned at all. Although, whatever they're lacking in the terms of videos, they do cover it up in the number of questions, and explanations of the answers to those questions. I would recommend to use Magoosh only for their practice questions pool. But now again, I have not tried any of the other GMAT Practice course, so I cant say whether the question pool with Magoosh is better than those of the others.
I didn't study math in undergrad, and it's been ages since I took a test. I chose Magoosh because I read that it was good for people who are just starting out. They did a really great job at teaching you the basics, and I loved their approach to teaching/learning in general- it's all about getting you to understand the concepts deeply, not just about memorizing how to solve something. However, I think the material is not quite advanced enough to give you a 700+ score. I'm going to retake it and will look into another provider to help get me there.
Purchased Magoosh course and thought that it will be my one-stop shop for all GMAT preparation,
and it was really good;
several points that were slightly challenging
- video explanation for math and verbal topics sometimes feel slightly shallow
- sometimes the solution is too fast, I can not understand so fast explanation
- verbal explanation is sometimes give less reasoning, more emotional decisions "choice A is a complete nonsense" <- why lol
Support was good and fast responding. I was able to practice a lot verbal and quant. After finishing the course, I had marginal score improvement, so I was slightly disappointed.
The Magoosh videos and practice problems were great for establishing a strong baseline. The videos provided several helpful strategies for approaching quant problems, and by the end I felt I could approach the most difficult of problems. The Quant practice problems and Verbal passages are helpful, though the practice tests could be better. They were just handfuls of practice questions packaged together, and I found I performed better on the official GMAC practice tests and on real tests. That being said, I still felt the course was useful and it definitely helped me improve my score for a very reasonable price.
