“I used the e-GMAT course and was able to score 730 (Q48, V44). I took e-GMAT’s Verbal Live course and e-gmat was a big contributor to this significant increase in my verbal score. Your SC live sessions helped me a lot. Like most others, I was one of the rebellious ones who had doubts about the approach e-GMAT suggested. I was concerned that the approach will take lot of time but once I got used to the 3 step method, I could complete the answers in less than 2 mines - as you have been saying all along.
I also need to mention about the RC tutorials. The detailed analysis of all the answer choices, including the wrong answer choice patterns was a GREAT help.
I have tired both VERITAS and Manhattan course, the two most expensive and supposedly the best courses available but didn’t the score I expected. Ultimately, help came from the lesser known courses such as yours and Grockit. One thing is for sure, e-gmat's RC course is one of the best we have in the market at the moment. Thanks e-GMAT. Especially Payal. You are truely amazing. It really shows that you want us to do well”
I have been struggling with my verbal, especially Reading Comp. I have looked all over GC for tips and strategies. But nothing seem to help. It was becoming really frustrating.
So reluctantly decided that maybe I should buy a GMATPill for RC. But after I saw the prices for the single RC pill, I decided to "shop around." I saw that many people were recommending e-gmat. I looked up the reviews, looked at their prices (1 GMAT Pill apprx to the Verbal section on e-gmat online), went to their website and signed up for a trial for the Verbal section.
I have spent a good portion of today going through the Verbal e-gmat course. I have already seen an improvement in my understanding and practice questions both on e-gmat and in the OG. Tomorrow I will be officially purchasing the Verbal section.
Hi All
I scored poor 610 (Q49,V21) in my first attempt. I analyzed and realized that its SC which has done damage for me. I came across e-gmat and joined its SC aong Grockit bundle.I would not say that its the best course but its definately value for money.
E-gmat pragmatic approach of discarding wrong options helped me to improve my score.
Equipped with rigorous prepartion through Grockit ,E-gmat and othere resources I attempted GMAT again and i scored 700 (Q50,V35) .
Grockit has good quant question bank but lacks in RC and SC.E-gmat has good fundamental overbiew but lacks on question bank. If they improve their question bank it could be more beneficial for other students.
I have used the e-GMAT Reading Comprehension course and found it awesome.(No, seriously). My RC skills are as bad as one can imagine. My accuracy has scaled from 30% to 80%(as of today). Here are a few Pros and Cons(just one) of the course.
Pros:
a) User Friendly
b) Crisp presentation
c) Narrative method
d) Reasonable price
e) Perfect understanding of the subject
f) Periodic milestones
g) last and the best - Sure shot improvement
Cons:
Except for the Indianised feel to the course, I haven't found any.
If you are a non-native speaker and if you are struggling with RC, then e-GMAT RC Course is the One. I scored a dismal 670 with a V31 and am hoping to do great in my second attempt.
The SC and CR sections are one of the most daunting sections of the GMAT for a non-native English student. In e-gmat these sections are covered very well. The Sections are divided into multiple levels i.e. 1,2 and 3. A diagnostic test decides what is your current skill level and you can start your preparation from that level and move forwards. I myself started from the Level 1. I have given GMAT only once so I cannot tell about my improvement there but in the Grockit tests I got an improvement of 100 points.
I would like to give a review of the e-gmat course I undertook while studying for GMAT .I gave the gmat on 11 Oct and scored a 750 AWA 6.Since I am a non native speaker SC was the weakest link. So for most part of my prep I was working on SC and e-gmat course helped me the most.
Pros:
1. Really liked the course structure, which is organized in increasing difficulty level. It is divided into three parts (level 1,level2 and level3) and the content gets more detailed in each level.Liked this structure much more than the one followed by other books where all the content is at one place ( a full chapter on verb tense etc).
2. Each tutorial starts with a set of questions so one can gauge his level before proceeding and similarly end with a test.Only after passing the level can one go to the next level.
3. Prompt and clear replies from the instructor (Payal).
4.The lectures are very well organized and slowly builds the understanding.
5. Has a decent set of GMAT like questions ,I didn't find any question that was copied from some other source, though I think the team should add more.
6. Only $39 for a three month course.Return on Investment is very high.
7. Though the course is only for SC, the admin (Rajat) spent a lot of his time in giving me admission prep tips which
were really helpful.
Cons
1. The UGE files (extra question bank) took quite a lot amount of time.
2.The browser crashed a couple of time while attempting the interactive questions in the tutorials.
3. Some of the questions during the a/v presentation were far too easy and straightforward. They should try to make it a bit more tricky.
4. Idioms ... Idioms ...Idioms ... they are probably the biggest problems for non native speakers ... The course should include more tutorials and questions on idioms.
In all I can say I really like this course and is definitely worth the investment.
Right after the first attempt, I knew that I would be taking the GMAT again. The failure made me more determined to succeed. At the same time it told me that I needed a slightly different approach. So I reached out to my classmate who had scored 740 (thanks to FB). He recommended e-gmat. He said that it helped him and asked me to give it a try. I did their free trial and was quite impressed by the content and approach they had taken and purchased the course. Their approach is very logical, kind of like a divide and rule strategy. The course teaches a concept and make sure that you ace it. After a bunch of concepts it teaches a process to answer GMAT problems through a special concept called application file. This helped me a lot in SC and CR and gave me a lot of confidence to do well in Verbal. In addition to e-GMAT there were other things that helped me improve.
