I was introduced to E-GMAT learning platform back in May 2013. At that time, I was frustrated with my inability to improve my GMAT performance especially after covering the MGMAT Sentence Correction book. I am not saying that MGMAT is not a good source, however, it did not work for me as I anticipated it to. I read a lot of good reviews on the GMAT Club site and decided to subscribe for the whole live prep course-including SC, RC, CR and IR sections. All teaching members are very friendly and explained, in detail, any questions that you might have during the live sessions. I was able to improve my accuracy and increase my speed on the SC and CR questions. As a result, I improved my verbal score from 21 to 31. I recently decided to take the GMAT exam at the end of November, and now I work on my RC skills as I was not able to cover them for my last GMAT attempt. I would recommend the E-GMAT platform to any non-native speaker.

The e-gmat course was a real bliss to me. I was very weak in verbal initially. I thought I was good in grammar as I did my schooling in a decent school in India. But the GMAT verbal is completely different. I used to get only 30-40% and I felt dejected thinking I was unfit for the test. Only then did my husband find about the e-gmat course through GMAT Club. We read a lot of positive reviews about it and so we decided to take a risk and got the full Verbal online package. IT WAS WORTH THE RISK.They helped me crack my fear and helped me improve my verbal score to 80-90%. When my subscription was about to expire, they also helped me extend it. I am really grateful to e-gmat for helping me improve my verbal score. I feel that there is no other better course than e-gmat for verbal.

I used the e-GMAT verbal online course and was able to score a 750 (Q-50, V-40, IR-8). The e-GMAT course is methodical and very scientific. It made the whole process of learning objective and therefore leave very little scope for mistakes. I had tried to learn all the rules for SC correction but that was an unnecessary overkill. The course gave me direction and I was able to channel my time efficiently. The videos are clear and concise and the quiz at the end of each videos hammers the concept into your brain.

I would highly recommend this course to anyone reading this review. The least you could do is buy the SC and IR course. A 200$ investment in this course will definitely benefit you and I am sure with this course coupled with your hard work, you will be able to achieve a high score.

And a special mention needs to be given to Rajat and his team. They always responded within 24 hours to my mails and addressed my queries in a timely manner.

The only major drawback I could find with this course is the glitches in the software.

I enrolled for the e-GMAT verbal online and live sessions. Prior to joining e-GMAT, I was using MG and honestly the whole concept of prepositional phrases, SV agreement, LDR for pronouns, SV, modifiers among others was all Greek to me, and my approach was to “use my ears to look for a choice that sounded good," skim through the choices, look for similarities, and guess the answer. There was no strategy.
The e-GMAT course taught me a systematic approach for SC and that GMAT is not so much a test of grammar but that of meaning. The finite rule set approach is what made the course very beneficial. I improved my score from 27 to 37 and am now aiming for 40+ for my GMAT, which I will take in a month. But as, “Rome wasn’t built in day," neither is your GMAT score, e-GMAT will provide you with the tool kit, but in the end it’s all about practice.

All the best
Cheers

I gave my GMAT first attempt on 3/12/13 and got a disappointing score of 500(47Q,13V).

With that score I understood that I needed to work on Verbal. I went through all the forums and GMAT club reviews to find out the best online coaching for verbal.
After going through all the reviews I found out that e-GMAT was the best course. I went through free trails and realized that it was the best for me.

I went through all the sessions post assessment quizzes and attended workshops. I am happy to say that now I am at V32 level. e-GMAT helped to reach 32 from a very low score of 13.

Online tutorials, workshops, and the course's detailed explanations are very helpful.

I am thankful to entire e-GMAT team.

E-GMAT is the most complete course for verbal GMAT, I guess that many people agree this is true.

Having the necessary tools for the non native to became much more accustomed with the test format and nuances, this small start-up company has done a surprisingly excellent job with all the verbal theory via videos (and practice exercises)

The support team is excellent and very kind and friendly, answering every email within hours, clarifying doubts or technical issues.

Though I have not used the course extensively, Now I'm planning to attack its huge data best of very well written SC questions (we know that there is not good unofficial SC material, well E-GMAT does a very good gob in that).

I always thought I was good at English. Verbal in GMAT is also English. Therefore, I thought I was good at GMAT verbal.
Which of the following will most likely weaken the author's conclusion mentioned above:
1. The author was high and blabberred anything.
2. The author is an engineer and generally engineers know nothing about English.
3. Thinking something about oneself does not trully make it a truth.
4. GMAT verbal is also written in English but is not neccesarily in English.
5. The author scored miserably in verbal last time he took his GMAT.

Well, what's the right answer guys? The point is verbal is entirely different from English. And I was shocked to see V28 the last time i gave the GMAT. I knew I had to look at this part of the exam from a different perspective. I started looking at some online courses that taught GMAT verbal in a way that is easier to comprehend and apply. That is how I bumped into e-GMAT verbal online course.

RC - No quick shortcuts from e-GMAT here. They want us to read properly and break down the passage into sentences. I learned that if I could focus on the subject and verb of each sentence, I undertood the passage more clearly. Yes, their approach takes time to absorb, but once you are comfortable with it, it becomes second nature. Before you realize it, you will be comprehending passages better and faster. Try it.

CR - I wish i could use this part of their course more aggressively. I did learn their prephrasing technique though. They ask us to think about the argument in our native language.

SC - This product is just amazing. I have been consistently scoring above 85% in SC. The SC part starts with the components of a basic sentence structure. I realized that once I had gone through their course, I could find more pearls from the Manhattan SC guide as well. I had read the Manhattan SC guide earlier, but could not grasp the advanced concepts. e-GMAT presented those concepts in a very easy way. That, I guess, is their motive too - to present SC concepts to non natives in a way the would understand well. Again, I recommend this product, even if one doesnt want to try RC and CR.

Hope my review helps others too. All the best for your GMAT.

Being a person who has studied with an English native speaker teacher and has done a self-studying course, I find the e-GMAT verbal online course a great source of studying, especially for non-native speakers like me.

I think you can consider the e-GMAT verbal course as a complement, since every concept is explained in full detail and you are given quizzes at the beginning and the end of every 'chapter', that help you identify your weaknesses and strengths.

I said as a complement, since I think it is important to have an instructor and do a lot of extra practicing to aim for a high verbal score. I am pretty sure you can also have an instructor in e-GMAT, I just haven't tried any live sessions, but I bet they work.

As someone told me, to reach a good score on the verbal section you must practice, practice and practice.

Before e-GMAT, I performed horribly low on the verbal and really bad on the SC part. I used to get 26-29 in my mocks even after finishing entire OG. I knew there was something wrong.

Finally on a friend's recommendation, I registered for e-GMAT. The best thing about e-GMAT is that they have presentations which you can access anytime. Before and after each section, you have quizzes which tell you if you understood the concept well or if you need to go back.

I finally scored a 40 on the verbal in my actual GMAT exam (730 overall). Thank you e-GMAT!

I would recommend E-gmat to students who speak English as their second language. The course material seems to be designed from the ground up to cover all the basics that would be required to achieve a good score in GMAT.
The provided course material is very rich in content and easy to understand. The instructors are pretty knowledgeable and help you with your queries. The online assignments available on e-GMAT are a great tool to monitor your own progress. The good thing about the course is that it also allows you to use a grockit for practice. I have personally seen a lot of improvement in my sentence correction abilities by using the e-GMAT method and techniques. Before taking this course I would directly jump on to the answers after reviewing the question for a while but now I am spending much more time analyzing the question for its meaning first by breaking it down into appropriate components.
I haven’t taken the GMAT yet as I have a few sections that I need to go over, but I am sure e-GMAThas made a tremendous difference in my preparation for the GMAT.
