I had taken my first GMAT in April this year and scored a dismal 530(Q-39,V-23).Prior to giving my first EGMAT I had subscribed the course for 2 months but I didn't get the results as expected.I attribute my score to 2 factors.
Firstly, I followed multiple sources for preparing Verbal. This can be the biggest mistake one can make.By following so many courses one will be unable to develop any concrete strategy for attacking the Verbal. This could prove extremely costly and could totally derail the preparation.Guys this where EGMAT has proved my savior.I could vouch that it is the most comprehensive course on GMAT Verbal and if used diligently along with OG it is more than enough to prepare for the Verbal Section.
Secondly, I did not follow the EGMAT process in all the 3 sections to the core during my first attempt. While in easier questions I followed the methods but for the hard ones I skipped and this proved my nemesis. My accuracy never improved inspite of all my valiant efforts. This time I made sure that no matter what happens I will follow the EGMAT process and my accuracy has drastically improved from 60% in SC to 85% and from less than 50% in CR to more than 75% in CR.I owe this to the EGMAT process.
Lastly apart from the above 2 factors I feel the EGMAT VOL course gives the best value in terms of price and the return you get.Compared to other courses which runs in thousands this course is a steal. This is extremely helpful for students like me who has already spent a lot for preparing for GMAT and are running short on budget.
Not being from the science background, I was finding Quants to be a difficult section for the GMAT. But, once I signed up for the Quants Course, it made it much simpler. Chapters such as Number Properties, Geometry, Algebra which were quite tough for me in the start became quite simpler after learning the concepts. As the GMAT is highly dominated with Engineering students, The course helped me to catch them in the race within no time. Great teaching methods and quizzes has helped me considerably in building my concepts. Kudos to Rajat Sir and his team to come up with such a simplified course. Thank You.
e-GMAT QUant LIVE-prep quantitative course help to learn techniques and tricks to remember certain strategies. It helps to increase confidence in test taking abilities. The course was extremely helpful and provided great explanations of the answers.
I would definitely recommend the weekend quantitative course to anyone struggling with the math portion!
Prior to attending this course I had done a few practice exams, but I was having difficulty with several sections of the material. With enrolling the e-GMAT Quant LIVE -Prep course, I felt much more comfortable with taking the GMAT for real. e-GMAT does a good job of showing you which portions are important, and has a comprehensive set of practice equations. I hope to complete learning and practice all the chapters and expecting my test score to be excellent
I've been trying for some time to get my head around figuring out a strategy to prepare for GMAT Verbals. My first GMAT attempt was in 2008 when I was just following the answer explanations given in the OG, but just like others, I couldn't get a grasp because I was not able to put together a clear approach to verbal questions. The result, my 2008 GMAT test was a disaster,....don't ask...it was below average. I lost my confidence and focused on my job and now after 7 long years, I have decided to give another try to GMAT.
I began looking for materials/study sources in Nov 2014 and came across many online courses, forums and I finally subscribed to Gmat club form, to understand more about the course and learn about how others feel about taking a retest after a long gap. I must say that I had strong inhibition to re-take GMAT test because I now have 10 years work exp and it's been really long since I tried my skills on mathematics or for that matter verbals. I am also not a avid reader of novels, besides management/marketing books, so my verbal wasn't that great. I somehow had the confidence on the quants, feeling that somehow I will be able to crack it with a little bit of brushing....but was hunting for courses for verbal.
After realizing my weakness, I decided I needed coaching on verbals, from the basics to expertise. And I found many courses on GMAT club forum, so that was pleasing.....but then the challenge was which one to select. I subscribed to Magoosh, and eGMAT with their trial period offer. Of the two, I was better able to relate with eGMAT course as the latter took me from the basics and provided step by step approach on how to approach a problem. So, I subscribed to their Verbal Live Prep as it was perfectly suited to my timings. The verbal live classes on weekends were really helpful to understand the concepts and clarify doubts. I was equally impressed with all the three courses CR, RC and SC. I l would say RC the most because that was my weakest section. Within 3 months I was able to improve my scores on mock tests. The concept of Pre-Thinking really works and I was able to improve my RC score from 20% accuracy to 75% accuracy within 3 months.
All in all, I would recommend anyone to take up e-GMAT Verbal Live Prep.
Before I take e-GMAT verbal course I tried couple of other Prep courses. But I'm feeling much confident after taking e-GMAT course. Specially the sentence correction section is better than any other prep courses. The trainers are well experienced and the online sessions are too good.
I've taken GMAT before I start preparing with e-GMAT. My verbal score was too bad. But the e-GMAT approaches helped me a lot to put my thought process together. The meaning analysis approach for sentence correction is really helpful to answer tough GMAT questions.
Thanks e-GMAT!! I highly recommend this course for all GMAT aspirants.
I took the eGMAT verbal prep as I wanted to improve my verbal scores. I personally feel that eGMAT verbal is the most comprehensive and effective online learning tool. The course is designed in such a way that it covers the gamut of questions asked in a GMAT exam and classified in different categories according to the important concepts being tested by GMAT in these questions. This way the course helped me identify the areas where I lacked understanding of concepts and where I needed to improve. The quality of questions asked in the tutorial is very good and develops stronger understanding of concepts. Also the tutorial is organized in a manner in which one for accessing a file one has to complete some mandatory concept or application files, as these concept or application files are prerequisite to the file. This way the tutorial clearly marks the flow in which one should approach his learning. I believe this is the best online tutorial and the best option for the one's who cannot attend live sessions and who wish to improve their GMAT scores.
Egmat verbal online course is bang on to those who want to improve their verbal score.
It is quite handy for those who are stuck at 20-25 verbal score and want to push it to 38 and beyond.
Be it SC or CR or RC, they have a systematic approach to each and every question type.
Course Details:
The course has pre-recorded videos and a self assessment tool called "Scholaranium" .
After every topic, there will be an assessment quiz to test your understanding of the topic. The Scholaranium tool is an advanced analytics tool to assess one's weaknesses and strengths. They use a unique technique called Tackt time for timing strategies.
My Experience:
For me CR was a major improvement area. I would always jot down to 2 options and get the incorrect choice marked.
With the Pre-thinking strategy of egmat, I knew where I was going wrong. This strategy helped me in going from 5-6 wrong CR questions to 1-2.
Egmat SC has the simplest way of approach. This approach made me realize that GMAT afterall is an adaptive test and If you get to know the nuances of it, anyone cross the barrier of 700 score.
I personally liked the verbal course, considering the fact that I was a non-native speaker and from engineering background.
I would highly recommend this course for verbal score improvement. This course is a perfect ROI :P
And not to forget that the Egmat team is always there to clarify doubts and answer any queries regarding the test as such.
I am a non native English speaker and hence verbal is my weak area on GMAT. Hence I was looking for a course on Verbal only. I scouted for few days and then after lot of research, it was e-gmat. Though i am a working professional, i don't get much of time to prepare, but no excuses, started preparing seriously and verbal online of e-gmat is really helpful.I hope i will score a 40 plus in verbal. And then i want to continue with my next review once i complete my GMAT on October 14th. One thing to note, e-gmat team are really helpful. With no doubt you can opt their verbal online course.
The e-GMAT verbal online course is a great resource especially for non-natives. Their SC module, in particular, is exceptional. I saw a marked improvement in my practice exams, where I went from getting more than half the SC questions wrong to getting almost all questions correct. My practice exam score increased to 740 (41V, 49Q - OG) from 700 (37V, 50Q - Economist GMAT). And the studying I did between these practice exams was e-GMAT's SC module. Their SC and CR modules are also very very good. Their instructors, Payal Tandon, Rajat Sadana and Neeti Sohal, do an outstanding job at making learning engaging, accessible and logical. The foundation courses in their SC, RC and CR modules set the tone for the rest of the section - you build on the processes they teach as you go along. Another great thing about the courses is that by the time you will finish a particular module, you will have practiced their processes and learning techniques so much that they will become a second nature to you. I highly recommend this course, especially to non-natives.
egmat by far exceeded my expectations, specially for the verbal section.
I have previously taken a GMAT course with another company, and by the time i finished the course i was left puzzled, depressed, and hopeless.
before the egmat course, the GMAT verbal section was Chinese to me. EGMAT made the GMAT verbal English to me, the way the course is structured makes GMAT verbal similar to math problem, you only have to apply the EGMAT rules to solve the problem.
I'm really thankful for EGMAT, and the EGMAT team. it's a great experience indeed
