I registered for e-gmat’s VLP course in early 2015. The eGMAT’s 3 step approach to SC and foundation concepts in CR are good.
Earlier in CR Qs I used to jump directly on to the options in order to evaluate the choices. This method took more time and my accuracy did not improve beyond 70%. Then I followed foundation concepts in CR. Initially I struggled with time but soon my accuracy and timings improved. Pre-thinking in CR’s helps you to understand the core of the argument, thereby making it easier to evaluate the answer choices.
The importance of the meaning in SC Q’s and the 3 step approach is one of the best methods I have come across. My SC strike rate has increased and now I am more confident while marking the answers.
Moreover, the Scholaranium – a quiz platform which has been launched recently, gives you the ability to measure your weaknesses in different areas and provides you with lots a practice questions that too with awesome explanations and statistics.
Finally, the live sessions, which are conducted by their superb faculty, provide you with great insights on common traps. All the SC live sessions and CR pre thinking session were an eye opener for me.
I would highly recommend the verbal course to anyone who wants to crack verbal in GMAT.

I am an executive with 15 yr experience in various industries, last December-14, I decided to go for MBA so decide to prep for GMAT. It took me couple of months to get started as I had been out of touch from formal education for so long. I explored several options on this forum(GMATCLUB) but decided to go with e-GMAT. The reason was very simple and logical. I simultaneously explored multiple free webinars from several top of the line courses but got sold on e-GMAT within 2 hours of attending it and ended up buying the "GMAT Live prep" combo of verbal and quant.e-GMAT promised the best ROI.. I must say that till date i havent been disappointed. By profession i am in quantitative analytics field so i was sure that it will be easy path for me..but after diagnostic test from e-GMAT i realized that i need a refresher. Japinder's and krishna's method of explaining is seamless. The discipline which has gone into building the material , videos and lessons is total awesome.. I have become a fan of e-GMAT, and i am sure even after i finish my GMAT i will take a lot of good learning lessons from e-GMAT.

After an unsuccessful attempt on my GMAT last year - I realized I was really weak on the verbal section. On further analysis I found out that while preparing - though I had learnt the techniques but I could never be confident about those answers. And the reason was, there were so many concepts that I failed to understand. I had trouble in the entire Verbal section, be it the SC/CR or the RC section where reading/understanding and answering correctly without spending a lot of time seemed like major tasks. And brushing up my grammar concepts seemed daunting. So, after searching a lot, I found great reviews about E-gmat Live Prep course. The thing that attracted me most about this course was the tag line “for non-natives” and thus, enrolling into the course was the next obvious thing to do.
As soon as I enrolled into the course I knew I was in the right place. I love the way, they have separated each section - which is further, sub-divided into different modules. This not only ensures that you concentrate on one concept at a time but also enables you to mark your progress as you move from one module to the next. There are live classes over the weekend and for a person like me with a crazy work schedule, you can view the recording and post all your questions on their blog. The instructors are great and they are always prompt in clearing your doubts. The modules give you enough base to grow on. The techniques used are easy to understand and thus application becomes easy that enables you to improve. The most important thing I realized while on this course was how important consistency and practicing is – just like exercising, you stop doing it and you are back to square one.
Though I still have time to give my GMAT exam, but I don't think I would change, or use any other course material. A few months back E-gmat started offering their Quant course and I am planning to enroll in that as well. For all those who are looking for a substantial course to work with - E-gmat is your one stop shop!
Good Luck to everyone preparing/appearing for GMAT!

I had taken my first GMAT in April this year and scored a dismal 530(Q-39,V-23).Prior to giving my first EGMAT I had subscribed the course for 2 months but I didn't get the results as expected.I attribute my score to 2 factors.
Firstly, I followed multiple sources for preparing Verbal. This can be the biggest mistake one can make.By following so many courses one will be unable to develop any concrete strategy for attacking the Verbal. This could prove extremely costly and could totally derail the preparation.Guys this where EGMAT has proved my savior.I could vouch that it is the most comprehensive course on GMAT Verbal and if used diligently along with OG it is more than enough to prepare for the Verbal Section.
Secondly, I did not follow the EGMAT process in all the 3 sections to the core during my first attempt. While in easier questions I followed the methods but for the hard ones I skipped and this proved my nemesis. My accuracy never improved inspite of all my valiant efforts. This time I made sure that no matter what happens I will follow the EGMAT process and my accuracy has drastically improved from 60% in SC to 85% and from less than 50% in CR to more than 75% in CR.I owe this to the EGMAT process.
Lastly apart from the above 2 factors I feel the EGMAT VOL course gives the best value in terms of price and the return you get.Compared to other courses which runs in thousands this course is a steal. This is extremely helpful for students like me who has already spent a lot for preparing for GMAT and are running short on budget.

I purchased this course after reading some positive reviews from people who struggled with gmat verbal part. As non- native speaker, I faced the same problem where I couldn’t improve my score even though I tried some over test provider’s material. Once I purchased the package, to be honest I was a bit skeptical as I thought I won’t have enough time to review all the material but I have to admit I was totally wrong! The way e-gmat explains sentence correction was really helpful, emphasizing on the meaning and explaining each topic in detail with post assessments quizzes, which helped to apply what you learn in practice. CR was helpful to identify where I was making mistakes, I found out that assumption questions are the ones which I was constantly getting wrong, e-gmat explained really well how to approach each question type on CR. Reading comprehension was the hardest one for me but in this course e-gmat explains very well how to break the passage and what is important to note once you reading it. RC section helped me to improve my timing and better understanding how to read unfamiliar topics and stay focus (active reading). After I finished the course, I used e-gmat new software –scholaranium, which came with the e-gmat online package. The software provides great analysis of your verbal performance; you can customize your quizzes by topic, difficulty level and etc. After each quiz explanations are very detail, I really like RC how they provide analysis of the passage!

To conclude this review I would like to say that if are non-native speaker and struggle to understand gmat verbal part this course is definitely worth your time and money! If I knew this at the very begging of my gmat journey I would have saved a lot of time!

Not being from the science background, I was finding Quants to be a difficult section for the GMAT. But, once I signed up for the Quants Course, it made it much simpler. Chapters such as Number Properties, Geometry, Algebra which were quite tough for me in the start became quite simpler after learning the concepts. As the GMAT is highly dominated with Engineering students, The course helped me to catch them in the race within no time. Great teaching methods and quizzes has helped me considerably in building my concepts. Kudos to Rajat Sir and his team to come up with such a simplified course. Thank You.

e-GMAT QUant LIVE-prep quantitative course help to learn techniques and tricks to remember certain strategies. It helps to increase confidence in test taking abilities. The course was extremely helpful and provided great explanations of the answers.
I would definitely recommend the weekend quantitative course to anyone struggling with the math portion!
Prior to attending this course I had done a few practice exams, but I was having difficulty with several sections of the material. With enrolling the e-GMAT Quant LIVE -Prep course, I felt much more comfortable with taking the GMAT for real. e-GMAT does a good job of showing you which portions are important, and has a comprehensive set of practice equations. I hope to complete learning and practice all the chapters and expecting my test score to be excellent

I've been trying for some time to get my head around figuring out a strategy to prepare for GMAT Verbals. My first GMAT attempt was in 2008 when I was just following the answer explanations given in the OG, but just like others, I couldn't get a grasp because I was not able to put together a clear approach to verbal questions. The result, my 2008 GMAT test was a disaster,....don't ask...it was below average. I lost my confidence and focused on my job and now after 7 long years, I have decided to give another try to GMAT.

I began looking for materials/study sources in Nov 2014 and came across many online courses, forums and I finally subscribed to Gmat club form, to understand more about the course and learn about how others feel about taking a retest after a long gap. I must say that I had strong inhibition to re-take GMAT test because I now have 10 years work exp and it's been really long since I tried my skills on mathematics or for that matter verbals. I am also not a avid reader of novels, besides management/marketing books, so my verbal wasn't that great. I somehow had the confidence on the quants, feeling that somehow I will be able to crack it with a little bit of brushing....but was hunting for courses for verbal.
After realizing my weakness, I decided I needed coaching on verbals, from the basics to expertise. And I found many courses on GMAT club forum, so that was pleasing.....but then the challenge was which one to select. I subscribed to Magoosh, and eGMAT with their trial period offer. Of the two, I was better able to relate with eGMAT course as the latter took me from the basics and provided step by step approach on how to approach a problem. So, I subscribed to their Verbal Live Prep as it was perfectly suited to my timings. The verbal live classes on weekends were really helpful to understand the concepts and clarify doubts. I was equally impressed with all the three courses CR, RC and SC. I l would say RC the most because that was my weakest section. Within 3 months I was able to improve my scores on mock tests. The concept of Pre-Thinking really works and I was able to improve my RC score from 20% accuracy to 75% accuracy within 3 months.

All in all, I would recommend anyone to take up e-GMAT Verbal Live Prep.
