My Experience With TTP – The Only GMAT Prep Tool I Used

Course Target Test Prep Maximum Learning

Strengths:

- Comprehensive and Complete Curriculum
- Structured Yet Flexible Self-Paced Learning
- Clear, Actionable Study Plan
- Effective Chapter-End Tests

Would make the product better:

Nothing.

I started my GMAT journey in January 2025 and chose Target Test Prep’s Maximum Learning Plan based on strong recommendations. I can now confidently say it lived up to the hype. TTP was the only prep tool I used, and it got me to a 695 on my first attempt of the GMAT Focus Edition (98th percentile).

The course is incredibly well-structured and flexible, which was perfect for my self-paced learning style. I appreciated how each chapter ended with a dedicated test section, allowing me to reinforce my understanding immediately. The abundance of practice problems, organized by difficulty, was a game changer for mastering every concept.

I committed to studying 25–30 hours per week, typically 2–4 hours on weekdays and 6–8 hours on weekends. I completed the full theory section in about 4 months, then spent 1.5 months practicing with official mocks. By the time I started mock testing, I felt fully prepared—there wasn’t a single topic I hadn’t seen in the TTP platform.

If you follow TTP’s instructions to the letter, I genuinely believe you won’t need any other resource. I bought the 6-month plan, which felt like the right length—any longer might risk burnout or overcomplicating your prep.

In short, I highly recommend TTP to anyone aiming for a top GMAT Focus score. It’s comprehensive, efficient, and truly all you need.

TTP - The Perfect Accountability Tool

As a full-time professional struggling to find consistent study time, TTP was a game-changer for my GMAT prep. Traditional prep books felt disorganized and I made little progress until a friend recommended TTP. The custom study plans, detailed question explanations, and structured daily tasks kept me motivated and accountable.
I especially appreciated the tailored approach for my strengths and weaknesses in various quantitative topics. The verbal section explanations helped me genuinely understand and analyze questions rather than guessing. The 24/7 chat support was a lifesaver, and they even extended my subscription free when it was about to expire before my test.
On test day, despite some anxiety and slower pacing, I was confident and accurate, which reflected in my score. Overall, TTP provided excellent structure, support, and materials to elevate my skills to pro level — highly recommended for busy test-takers seeking accountability and effective study tools.

After being referred to TTP by countless friends, I opted into the maximum learning program to begin my GMAT journey. The program gave me a full 6 months of access to the site. With an unpredictable work schedule, this was exactly what I needed.

The actual TTP program is amazing. They really go in depth into each topic and then give you a ton of multiple choice to practice to cement it into your brain. I think the best part were the tests that were set up after every couple of chapters to make sure that you are not forgetting the things you learn along the way. I found that having those check ins made sure I was not forgetting the things I had looked at over a month ago. By the time I finished the program, I hardly felt the need for comprehensive review because the program was designed to continually build upon what I had already learned.

10/10 program and could not have done it without them, make sure to use TTP if you are going to take the GMAT!

TTP was a huge help in my GMAT Focus journey. When I started, I took a mock exam and scored a 535, but I wasn’t very familiar with many of the concepts tested on the GMAT. Over the next 2–3 months, TTP helped me build my foundation from scratch and reach a 685 (96th percentile). Their structured approach, clear lessons, and especially the emphasis on repetition and mastery made all the difference. The course taught me how to actually learn and retain the material, not just recognize patterns. I’m truly grateful and highly recommend it to anyone starting from square one or looking to improve their score.

Verbal and better video solutions

I recently completed the Target Test Prep course and wanted to share my experience for anyone considering it. I can confidently say the course exceeded my expectations, especially for Quant. The structure is incredibly detailed, and the explanations break down even the most complex concepts in a way that's easy to understand. What I appreciated most was the flexibility to study at my own pace while still having clear guidance on what to focus on. The practice problems and analytics really helped me track my progress. If you're serious about improving your GMAT score, especially in Quant, this course is worth it.

Would make the product better:

While the Quant section is outstanding, incorporating more adaptive practice for Verbal could further enhance learning efficiency. Additionally, a mobile app with offline access would make studying more convenient for on-the-go learners

If you're serious about maximizing your GMAT score, the Target Test Prep (TTP) GMAT course is a top-tier option that deserves your attention.

1. Deep, Structured Curriculum
One of the biggest strengths of TTP is its incredibly detailed and logically structured curriculum, especially in the Quant section. It breaks down every concept into manageable lessons, ensuring students fully understand fundamentals before moving on to more advanced topics. This progressive learning approach is ideal for building a solid foundation.

2. Outstanding Quant Prep
TTP has earned a stellar reputation for its Quant section—and rightly so. The course dives deep into algebra, arithmetic, word problems, and data sufficiency with clear explanations and hundreds of practice problems. The emphasis on concept mastery and error analysis sets it apart from many other prep platforms.

3. Smart Analytics & Custom Study Plans
The platform includes personalized study plans and performance analytics that help you target your weak areas efficiently. TTP tracks your progress at a granular level, giving you insights into your accuracy, timing, and improvement trends. This helps students study more effectively, not just harder.

4. Verbal Course Improvements
While historically known for Quant, TTP has made major strides in its Verbal course, now offering in-depth lessons on Sentence Correction, Critical Reasoning, and Reading Comprehension. The same analytical approach that made the Quant course a success is now applied to Verbal, making it a strong all-around prep tool.

5. Supportive Customer Service and Study Coaches
TTP offers excellent customer service and access to study experts and coaches who can guide you if you feel stuck or need help building a plan. This human support adds a layer of confidence and motivation, which can be crucial during a long study journey.

6. Flexible and Mobile-Friendly
The platform is fully online and mobile-responsive, allowing you to study anywhere, anytime. Whether you’re doing a quick quiz on your phone or diving into a long lesson on your laptop, the interface is smooth and easy to navigate.

How I achieved 695 on GMAT focus using TTP

Strengths:

It's verbal fundamentals and also It's pacing

Would make the product better:

I don't see any area , it's already perfect.

I recently completed the GMAT TTP prep course and took my official GMAT FOCUS and scored a 695 (98th percentile).
The course provided a solid foundation of all the required topics and majority of my success I credit to its structure, strategy insights, and targeted practice. Another key area of growth was time management. Prior to using TTP, I often felt rushed or anxious during practice exams. After completing the course, I was able to maintain control and stay calm throughout both mock tests and the real exam—something I’d struggled with before. The remaining came from disciplined self-study and review. Overall, a valuable resource for serious candidates looking to maximize their score.

Best GMAT prep package out there!

Strengths:

What I really liked about TTP is how well-structured and easy to follow it is. Instead of just throwing a ton of material at you, it walks you through each topic step by step, with really clear explanations and lots of chances to practice. It doesn’t just show you how to solve problems—it actually helps you understand the logic behind them. The study flow made a lot of sense: go through a chapter, take a quiz, review your mistakes, and keep building from there. I also felt like they covered pretty much every possible type of question I could face on test day.

Would make the product better:

I don't have any recommendations for TTP as such. They have awesome content and they are constantly innovating. They have already incorporated AI solution explanations into their program, and I am sure they will keep improving it's capability over time.

TTP helped me get a 755 on the GMAT Focus—and I honestly don’t think I could’ve done it without them. It’s incredibly thorough without being overwhelming.
I wasn't super confident with critical reasoning initially, but TTP's approach to almost scientifically breaking down a passage and identifying the conclusion and premise helped a lot.
Having experienced the trial versions of multiple major test prep products, I can confidently say TTP is by far the best option out there. GMAT plays a huge role in applications and scholarships. You will only do an MBA once in your life, the potential upside of doing marginally better in your GMAT because of TTP far exceeds the minor price premium.

Course Target Test Prep GMAT Live Online Classes

Strengths:

live teaching class associated with certain sections of class materials

Would make the product better:

The time allowed for studying each section (automatically by the study plan) was a little underestimated, IMO.

I conducted research on which GMAT paid platform to use and found great feedback from TTP. Took the 5-day free trial and loved how it planned the hours and a study plan. I joined the live teaching class package, which includes 6 months of materials access. The study plan was very well structured and had a decent number of questions. The course materials were very detailed and clearly broken down under each topic, making them easy to navigate and revisit during my revision. The most useful bit for me was taking the live teaching class taught by Ceilidh Erickson, it helped me clear up some conceptual gaps.
I also like that TTP partners with Perfect Scorer and does hourly/short webinars from time to time. Though it was a long 10-months journey for me, I highly recommend TTP.

Strengths:

Highly Structured & Logical Curriculum:
TTP’s Quant course is incredibly well-organized, building from core concepts to advanced strategies in a clear, linear way. It made studying feel focused and purposeful.

Comprehensive Coverage:
I never felt like there were gaps in what I had studied. By the end, I was confident that I had seen everything I needed to see for both Quant and the new Data Insights section.

Great for Returning Students:
As someone who had been out of school for several years, I really appreciated how the program eased me back into academic-style learning with a guided, confidence-building structure.

Sense of Direction:
After floundering with other materials, TTP gave me a clear roadmap. I no longer felt lost or overwhelmed—I felt in control of my prep.

Would make the product better:

Time Commitment:
TTP is extremely thorough, so it does require a significant time investment to get through everything. For those on a tight timeline, this could be challenging—though I’d argue the depth is worth it.

Less Emphasis on Test-Taking Strategy Early On:
The early modules focus heavily on building fundamentals. While this was exactly what I needed, someone looking for shortcuts or immediate test strategies might feel impatient at first.

Having been out of school for over five years, I found it challenging to get back into an academic mindset—especially when it came to standardized test preparation. Although I have a background in engineering and considered myself strong in math, my first GMAT mock exam was a reality check. I struggled significantly with the Quant section and knew I needed a structured, comprehensive resource to close the gap.

Target Test Prep exceeded my expectations. The Quant course is exceptionally well-structured, with a clear, logical progression that allowed me to rebuild foundational concepts while developing the precision and efficiency needed for the exam. By the time I sat for the test, I felt completely prepared for both Quant and the new Data Insights section.

The Verbal course was equally impactful. It reshaped the way I approached reading comprehension, critical reasoning, and sentence correction—teaching me to think strategically rather than rely on instinct or memorization.

I would strongly recommend Target Test Prep to anyone preparing for the GMAT, particularly those returning to academics after time away. The program provides the structure, depth, and rigor necessary to succeed.
