Good course for covering theory part of Verbal section

Strengths:

Strengths:-
This course teaches the theory very gradually so anyone can understand it and it also has practice questions in every section to check your knowledge.

Would make the product better:

If they could have an option of question bank of mixed types of question, it would really help a lot. As in GMAT you never know what theory the question is testing and most of the times there are multiple grammar rules applied in a single question. As we practice the questions only in a particular section, we are aware of what errors to look for.

Overall this is a really good course, and it helped me a lot to cover my lacking grammar knowledge. They have taken lot of efforts to make us understand even difficult topic easily.

I liked their organized course flow, which also allows you to select between a normal course or an accelerated course. I would like if they offer full length tests for practice too.

Almost all the questions have detailed video answers, so you understand why every option is right or wrong. The only recommendation is to have an option of mixed type question bank, where all options test different rules of grammar. While attempting GMAT I faced this issue, as in most of the questions all the options looked convincing and I was not sure what rule to be checked for any option.

6 months to 690 and 7 months to 740 using TTP

Strengths:

Strengths:
1)TTP provides simple and clear explanations on conceptual topics. It comprehensively explains all the steps so that your foundations are clear and you know exactly how to get to the answer. As you practice more you are able to tweak things and skip steps as per the question and time constraints but it's very important to have all the steps and foundational knowledge clear
2) Personalised and flexible learning plans
3) Flash cards, diagnostic tests, custom tests based on weaknesses
4)Comprehensive quant course - built the entire basis of my preparation
5)Large number of questions available for practice
6) Quant questions are made in such a way that they check what you’ve learnt and how clear your basics are. They are different from official gmat questions but I feel they are very important as they strengthen your basics and force you to think so you’re able to apply the knowledge on harder official questions
7) User friendly interface
8) Enjoyed the CR course because it was extremely simple and ensured the correct approach to question

Would make the product better:

The inability to emulate an official mock exam.
Also somehow found it tough to get through SC using TTP. It didn’t work for me.
More material for IR could be provided.

A little background about myself. I graduated in 2019 with a BA in History, but I had math till 12th grade. I am not scared of math but I am not a whiz. I would say my verbal is relatively strong. i scored a 690 in my first attempt and a 740 in my second attempt at the Gmat almost 1.5 months later.

I highly recommend TTP to prepare for the GMAT. It may take some time to complete everything but it's worth spending the effort to do all the missions including all the practice tests. Also, it's necessary to build strong foundations for quant to achieve a high score and be self reliant so that you don’t depend on explanations for tough questions for example - a speed time distance or compound interest question could be solved in multiple ways. By having a strong quant foundation you can try doing the question in different ways and figure out the way that works best for you, instead of just relying on one explanation and trying to apply only that method during the exam, as stress or a different style of question could make you get stuck but if you have strong foundations you’ll be able to think on your feet under pressure and workout another method to solve it and i do credit TTP for creating that base for me.
Also, do make use of their articles. Some of their tips regarding how to manage time, the streaks method and tips for verbal in their articles really helped me.

Highlights: 1) Clear explanations of concepts in both quantitative and verbal reasoning, along with video guides on approaching questions

2) Custom and diagnostic tests to help you attack weaker areas of your preparation and dial in your score.

The one consideration I would make is that, along with TTP, I did solve a lot of questions from GMAT club that were 700+ level (only for quant), official guide questions and historical GMAT advanced guide questions for more practice. However I did these questions untimed and my time management was developed via TTP tests and official mocks. Whether or not this is necessary comes down to your personal preparation and ability to afford additional material and time.

Strengths:

TTP is truly a one-stop shop for success on the GMAT. You do not need to go anywhere else to go from 0 to the score you want.

Would make the product better:

Some of the verbal content seemed too detailed and not as important on the actual test.

Target Test Prep (TTP) is an excellent resource for anyone who wants to improve their GMAT score. The program is comprehensive and covers all aspects of the exam, from the basics of math and verbal to the more advanced concepts. TTP also provides a great deal of practice material, including thousands of questions.

I particularly appreciate the way that TTP breaks down the GMAT into manageable chunks. This makes it easy to focus on your weaknesses and improve your score gradually. The program also provides excellent explanations for every question, so you can learn from your mistakes and avoid making them again in the future.

Overall, I highly recommend TTP to anyone who is serious about getting a high GMAT score. The program is comprehensive, effective, and well-organized. If you are willing to put in the effort, TTP can help you achieve your GMAT goals.

TTP Was Essential to My Score and I Would 100% Use it Again

Strengths:

Both verbal and quant sections have everything you should need to get at least a 700. The user interface is great and makes spending hours and hours in the course easier. The chat function is incredibly useful with helpful and quick responses.

Would make the product better:

The course is very very long. I don't think they have anything in there that they don't feel they need, but anything to make it more palatable for working professionals would be great.

The verbal section was great and helped me refresh on all of the topics I needed to get a great score in sentence correction and critical reasoning. The quant section is everything you could need to get a great score. In fact, I didn't even complete the course and I still know that I wouldn't have been able to achieve my 710 without TTP. I also know that if I were to take all the tests and read all the lessons, I for sure would have been 730+. I do wish I would have been able to use TTP for my SAT and that they had an MCAT verison for my girlfriend. I feel like I used the chat so much that Jeffery would remember me. It makes you feel supported to have the TTP team to respond to your questions, and do so quickly.

TTP Expert+ – Highly Recommended!

Strengths:

– All material in one place
– Custom tests
– Curriculum
– Analytics/real-time feedback

Would make the product better:

– Flashcards functionality needs a little work

When I first started my GMAT prep I had no idea TTP existed and planned to use a mix of different books/resources from a variety of providers. After getting the various materials together, I knew that I was in for a uphill battle and thought there must be a better way. Fortunately, I found TTP after some cursory searching for online programs. After spending more than six months and 500 hours with the product I don't believe there is anything better out there if you're self-motivated and can devote the time to go through the course. Having all the material you need in one place is invaluable and I thought the ability to create custom tests was absolutely essential when it came time to review after I finished the material.

I scored a 760 on the GMAT and while I think I could have scored even higher based on my mocks and performance on TTP, I'm happy with the results and can now focus on other aspects of my applications. Give yourself plenty of time by not setting an arbitrary date you need to take your test by. Things happen and in the end you're better off finishing the course and a sustainable pace without the added pressure of a looming test date.

Thanks to Scott and team for creating a great product that is effective, thoughtfully designed, and fun to use!

More questions overall and maybe the ability to emulate an official mock exam.

I highly recommend TTP to prepare for the GMAT. It may take some time to complete everything but it's worth spending the effort to do all the missions including all the practice tests. Additionally, the team at TTP are highly approachable and will help you with any queries regarding your preparation.

Highlights: 1) Clear explanations of concepts in both quantitative and verbal reasoning, along with video guides on approaching questions

2) Effective notes on exam strategies, including time management, question approaches and eliminations, and more

3) Custom and diagnostic tests to help you attack weaker areas of your preparation and dial in your score.

4) Huge question bank of problem solving, data sufficiency and verbal questions. By the end of it, I wished for even more questions to be available!

The one drawback or consideration i would make is that, along with TTP, I did solve a lot of official guide questions and historical GMAT advanced guide questions for more practice. Whether or not this is necessary comes down to your personal preparation and ability to afford additional material.

Kudos!

Strengths:

Ample quant practice questions

Very clear, concise and relevant verbal reasoning reading material

Error tracking and OnTarget practice and analytics

Flexible study plans suited to your needs

Would make the product better:

Need more verbal reasoning practice questions

I took the GMAT flexible preparation plan provided by TTP on a monthly subscription basis for my GMAT preparation (at the Expert+ level). Used the accelerated calendar study plan and then switched to the mission plan about one and half months before my GMAT exam.

As for quant, TTP provides ample questions for practice in the form of timed tests and lots of study material to learn the different topics from. As for verbal reasoning, the study material is very clear, concise and relevant wrt the GMAT syllabus. It provides a very lucid understanding of different topics with its crisp short paragraphs and highlighted "Must Know"s.

I personally loved the flexibility of the 2 types of study plans and the fact that one can switch between the two at any point in time. For a working individual with very little time to think about the priority order of lessons, the calendar plan is perfect as it takes away the headache of carefully planning what lessons to study first. Then as you near the end of the preparation, assuming that one would devote more time to studying, one can switch to the mission plan which is designed to get the most learning in few sittings.

TTP also has a really good error tracking system which accurately provides you with your weak topics and strong topics; and using this in combination with the OnTarget practice system; accelerates learning by a big margin.

Finally reached my target GMAT score of 760 (q51 v41) from 700 (q50 v34) on my first official practice test.

Strengths:

> TTP course is extremely comprehensive, to the point & completely logical.
> All the flawed options in every question are explained with proper logical reasons (more than one reasons to eliminate every wrong option) as opposed to using phrases like "awkward construction" or "unidiomatic construction".
> Every sub-chapter has many "Targeted practice problems" tailored to hammer home the concepts taught in that particular sub-chapter along with many GMAT-like problems which give a fair idea of how those concepts can be tested on the exam day.
> Completely new (different from OG or other GMAC sources) & relevant questions.
> Highlighting & note-making feature is available across all chapters.

Would make the product better:

Although the course is near perfect, I would still recommend a few improvements:
> More RC practice sets.
> More video solutions for challenge tests.
> Addition of another intermediate level between Hard & Challenge.
> Live doubt sessions, maybe on YT.

> The TTP course took away the burden of worrying about the right things to study for the GMAT.
> The order of the chapters & the sub-chapters was such that each new concept introduced was easy to comprehend & I didn't feel lost at any point despite being a non-native speaker.
> It was comprehensively laid out with a logical approach to solving questions & it was easy to pick up in short amount of time.
> It was written in an interactive manner & was easy to read & understand.
> Marty helped me throughout the journey with course doubts & always nudged me in the right direction.
> Value for money

Strengths:

The strength of this product is its adaptive learning system that helps you successfully combat your weaknesses.

Would make the product better:

I would recommend that they strengthen the IR section of the course. It was new and a bit underdeveloped. However, I still scored an 8/8 on that section on the GMAT so it ended up providing no issue.

I cannot begin to express how impressed I am with Target Test Prep! This comprehensive test prep platform has exceeded my expectations in every way possible. From the quantitative to the analytical writing assessment sections, this resource has been an absolute game-changer in my test preparation journey.

Quantitative Section:
The quantitative section of Target Test Prep is unparalleled. The platform's extensive collection of practice questions and adaptive learning technology allowed me to focus on my weak areas while building upon my strengths. The explanations provided for each question were crystal clear and helped me grasp even the most challenging concepts. The interactive interface made learning enjoyable, and the progress tracking feature kept me motivated to push further towards success.

Qualitative Section:
The qualitative section of Target Test Prep is an absolute gem. I was initially worried about this aspect of the exam, but the abundance of practice materials and insightful lessons made me feel at ease. The in-depth analysis of critical reasoning and reading comprehension passages truly sharpened my skills and honed my ability to tackle complex questions efficiently. Thanks to Target Test Prep, I felt confident in my ability to approach any qualitative question with precision and clarity.

Integrated Reasoning Section:
The integrated reasoning section can be daunting, but with Target Test Prep's expertly designed resources, it became manageable and even enjoyable. The platform offered a wide range of practice sets that covered all aspects of integrated reasoning. The detailed explanations and strategies provided were invaluable, and they significantly improved my performance in this often-neglected section of the test.

AWA Section:
When it comes to the analytical writing assessment (AWA), Target Test Prep's guidance was outstanding. The platform's step-by-step approach to structuring and organizing essays was incredibly helpful. The sample essay responses and feedback from experts allowed me to understand what examiners are looking for and how to craft compelling arguments effectively. This section, which I initially found daunting, became one of my strengths, all thanks to the fantastic support of Target Test Prep.

Overall, Target Test Prep's comprehensive approach, user-friendly interface, and quality content make it the ultimate test prep resource. I am delighted to say that thanks to Target Test Prep, I was able to achieve a score beyond my wildest dreams on the exam. Strengths:

- Target Test Prep is wildly comprehensive, with an insane amount of practice questions that mimic official GMAT questions very well.

- The study plan is appropriately arranged and easy to follow, which simplifies the preparation process for the test taker.

- The employees/educators of TTP are very active, responsive, and helpful. It's easy to chat with them within the TTP course, but they are constantly active in outside forums, Reddit, etc.

Would make the product better:

- The volume of material can be overwhelming, but is ultimately helpful. Not necessarily a flaw of the course, but this volume of content can be discouraging at first.

Target Test Prep is an awesome resource for anyone looking to succeed on the GMAT. The GMAT is an unusual and challenging exam that covers a broad range of topics. TTP's resources demystify the exam, educate the user on how he or she should approach each topic, and provide everything necessary to learn each concept tested on the exam.

Many other reviews on this forum highlight more specifically the strengths and benefits of TTP, and I agree with almost all of the testimonials that I've seen. So in an effort to keep this review concise, and to avoid saying what's already been said dozens of times elsewhere, I'll keep this review short. I consider TTP to be a one-stop shop, meaning the user shouldn't worry much about purchasing or seeking out supplemental resources. If you follow this course with discipline, you will get a good score on the GMAT.

I hope I never take the GMAT again, but if I do, I will without a doubt use TTP.
