Appointment gone wrongI had my GMAT online exam scheduled for 15th June, 2021 and here is what happened For those who wish to take the GMAT online, apart from creating your profile on MBA.com you got to also create a separate profile on the Examity dashboard. It's quite the usual:
1) Personal information
2) Upload a photo of your ID proof (Indians are allowed to upload their Adhaar card)
3) Select security questions
Now here is what went wrong. Apparently, the passport photo that I upload wasn't clear. Of course I had no idea that it wasn't because, from my end, everything seemed fine. Especially after getting the green tick besides my upload mentioning "verified"
Skipping to the D day. Honestly, I was quite anxious. I booked my slot for 11:30am and was up at 6:30am. The wait was horrible. I felt everything slowed down, especially TIME. Finally, when the clock struck 11:15, I went to my system and logged in. As per the rules, one can begin the verification process 15min before the scheduled time. My proctor appeared and began the verification process from his end. He asked me for my passport, verified a few details from me and then asked me to wait. After a good 5min wait (which looked like 15) I just asked if everything is fine. That's when he told me and I quote "I had a word with my supervisor and there seems to be an issue with your passport photo" They wanted me to click a fresh one in which my photo is clearly visible. Now to do that he told me I need to RESCHEDULE my exam. I tried hard to insist him to just give me 30sec to do the needful But sadly his protocols didn't allow me to do so. I was asked to write to GMAC and ask them to reschedule my appointment.
To begin with, if there is an issue with the profile shouldn't the Examity dashboard notify the student about the same? Why show the green tick and mentioned "accepted". Anyways, I have written to GMAC covering the following queries:
1) Is the current upload correct?
2) Will this attempt be counted?
3) What about my re-fund?
It's been over three days and I haven't heard from them. Could someone confirm if I have the correct email address?
