Wat does ESR mean

Posted from my mobile device

An ESR is a product sold on mba.com website
Before I tell u to accept the truth and ask you to you decide to give up,
I need to know the following things-
1. What was your Quant and Verbal split in wach of the tests you gave, including the practice tests, also mention if you've repeqted any practice tests?
2. Which course did you take for tutoring?
3. List of tests you purchased and took along with their score.
4. How much did you use to score or have scored in your college and school?
5. The resources you have left, all of it?

Hi studentsensual,

I’m sorry to hear how things have been going with the GMAT. As long as you follow a linear and structured study plan as well as a realistic timeline, then YES, you can improve your GMAT score. With that said, would you like some advice on how to improve your GMAT quant and verbal skills?

Dear Gmatclub users,

I really need your advice.

I have passed my GMAT a month ago and scored 480. It was my second attempt.
Before that I passed it in 2016 and scored 380, I guess, 300 with something, for sure, I was preparing for a half year by myself.

At this last attempt I took courses from a tutor and was preparing for half year while working and went for 3 weeks vacation before the exam and prepared extensively.
Now I have lost any hope and even don’t know what should I do next. I could not say that I was so stressed during the exam. I scored initially 450 at official practice test and 540 at the end of preparation. So, now I’m wondering whether I have any chances to get 600 till spring? Or I should just accept the reality and try to find another ways of reaching my goals? Just for your information my IELTS was 6.5. Maybe I should first improve my English?
Oh Gosh I don’t know I feel bad and depressed like a desperate person.
Plzzzzzzzzz help me, any ideas thoughts
I would be more than grateful
Thank you very very much for your help
I look forward to hearing from you very soon

No need to be despondent.

You may benefit from structured training that focuses on improving testtaking abilities in each of the subject areas of the test.

Start with the Official Guide. It provides an exhaustive list of sub-topics that will be tested. Then, develop plans to improve in each of these sub-topics.

It is important to become comfortable with solving easy to medium-level questions. If you answer them correctly, then the algorithm will reward you.

Once you have mastered questions at these levels, only then try out some harder (i.e., harder for you) questions.

Do most of your training through untimed practice sessions. Understand each of the steps and think of more than one way to solve the problems.

Many people benefit from self-study. You can pace yourself and be your own master.

To go from 400s to 600s and above will take you several months. Patience and diligence are required. GL!

Hi
I have pushed from 470 on my first mock to 710 on my latest official mock. So I feel that a 600 is definitely possible.
Focus on improving your foundation at the beginning.

Hi,

I to had a low baseline, but I worked hard and bumped that up to a 650. I'm looking to resit in future, but it's sufficient for one school for now so i'll role with it.

I encourage you to look at TTP. Scott's team is amazing and the TTP platform is the only real thing that I can wholeheartedly say jacked up my quant.

Best of luck.

Hi, Businessconquerer!
1. V20, Q36
During practice test2 it slightly covered questions in test1
2. Local GMAT courses which covered almost each main topic on gmat for 20 minutes - theoretical material and then problems to solve
3. No test is purchased
4. I have done only two practice tests and that’s it
5. I mostly used questions from I did the following: if for example I am learning time problems then I tried first cover all 500 lvl q, then 600. But I haven’t done this for all topics due to a shortage of time.
I also took an Official diagnostic test but could not work on all questions provided in V n Q, had a little time.

Businessconquerer,

Well, regarding ESR, I thought that it will give deeper explanation of everything by covering questions by difficulty and correctness.

Imho what they offer barely seems worth 30$ (See attachment)

Wat u think i shud do - give me another try or just close this miserable topic?

Awaiting your reply

I wonder is there anyone who scored high after 480? What does statistics say?

Can you suggest some trusted and guaranteed courses? I have lost a lot of money on my local tutor classes, not speaking about time, so I don’t want to waste my money if it won’t help me to get 600?

There's a simple formula, don't give the mock test repeatedly and don't give GMAT unless you've done everything and are scoring +(10-20) points near your target score.

Try courses such as Jamboree, Empowergmat, Manhattan, e-GMAT

Take combo if you must. And pls don't say you gave test without practicing enough, it's like you're slapping GMAT in the face

Given that your quant is much higher than your Verbal, you will see the quickest gains by focusing almost entirely on improving your V. As a matter of fact, you might even begin to understand your quant questions better and see some improvement there.

Yes, there are many folks who have been able to score well on the GMAT after initially scoring around 480. Regarding resources, check out some of the success stories of past GMAT students as well as reviews of various GMAT prep courses to see what prep materials have worked for other test-takers.

OP. You need to strengthen both areas. Quant is relatively easier to improve.

P.S Do not google OP's name LOL.... I right clicked on your name OP and clicked "search google..."
