I have attached one strategy for using the scratch pad with timings.
I have adapted it from
https://www.ascore.io/blog/just-in-time ... n-the-gmatThis way more focus in on the first 9/10 questions which are quite important as specified in
https://gmatclub.com/forum/gmat-prep-so ... 46146.htmlAssuming quant first, you can divide each side of the page as shown below and write the timings in the bottom corner.
So for quant, as soon as you solve the fifth question, you should be close to 50:00 in the timer and as soon as you solve the 10th you should be near 40:00 and so on.
This way every question has a box and at every 5 questions you know your speed.

Once you finish quant, you can ask for a new booklet.
So for verbal, immediately you can divide each side of the page into 9 boxes as shown and write the timings in the bottom corner.
This way every verbal question has a box and incase you dont use the box for that question, you can strike it out and pass on.

Hope this strategy helps.
