hi Aryanically, Great profile and momentum. All signs point to a strong contender for these schools. Keep up your EC’s - join and take leadership in a club/society or even at Goldman in social responsibility or employee clubs. Schools like to see how you will get involved and see your leadership skills, especially if you aren’t in a management role yet.

profile review for MiM................Hi!
Can anyone review my profile and give some suggestions that i can do to maximize my chances for getting an admit in top french schools?

I am doing my bachelors in science at IISER mohali, a tier 1 research institute in India.
I have a low cpi (7.4) but a growing trend - it is increasing
I have founded an operational consulting firm, ZOVAC ai (you can visit my website on google), I have worked with several clients and helped founders overcome operational challenges by creating systems and have achieved operational efficiency of 37% on an average across all the businesses i have worked with.

I am an intern at a startup. It is a 8 months internship and I am working as a business analyst where I work with client companies across India and USA and analyse their challenges and give data driven insights, and build systems to fix internal problems.

I am also the founder of Finance club at IISER Mohali, where we offer financial literacy through case study events events, quizes, market simulation events, etc. We also help incubate student ideas, and also the co founder of Kollecto, a bulk buy program that helps students get essentials at an affordable price

I had worked as the student coordinator and the lead designer at Opportunity cell of IISER Mohali, where we were responsible for bringing companies like deloitte and EY for campus placements.

Apart from my professional experience I am a digital artist, I play basketball for my college team in the IISM (all top tier research institutes across India come to play different sports events), I was a under 16 state level kabaddi player (discontinued due to injury), and I pplay some music.

Can you give me a profile review and what are my chances in top b schools in france and italy? I am a fresher and am aiming for MiM program
I would really appreciate it.

Hi! This is a great example of when the experience outweighs GPA/CPI! You will need to do 2 things to overcome this with top MIM programs - do well on GMAT/GRE to counterbalance any questions they have about academic readiness... then make sure you write an optional essay that mentions that it took you a few years to find the right balance with all of your EC/Internships/Consulting, include what you’ve done to find the balance and how you plan to be a strong candidate during the MIM program you’ve learned from this. :)

hi Kshitij1122, You do have unique experience for an Indian Male. promotions and accomplishments are strong. They are pretty technical, but can easily be translated to MBA resume bullet points :). Big question will be - why MBB? and then what after? You have a good shot at your school list if your GMAT can land 665+. Each of the schools you list really dig into EQ and student connection - make sure to network and incorporate into your essays.

715 can make you competitive for HSW - but need to emulate the qualities of a leader, determination, ability to make an impact and contribute to your class. Its a reach for anyone.. even 805 with banking... but with the right essays, you could have a shot at the interview!

Profile:
- Indian female

- GPA: 2.4 to 2.6 of 4 equivalent. B Com from Tier 2 college (biggest weak point in my profile)
- GRE: 330
- CFA: Cleared all 3 levels
- Strong Class 12 scores (90%+)
- Work ex: ~8 years across investment banking, CEO’s office and founder-facing finance roles

Extra-curriculars:
- Musician/vocalist for 10+ years
- Have written/composed music as well
Currently considering both 1 year and 2 year MBA programs.

Questions:
1. How much will the GPA hurt given the GRE + CFA?
2. Are top (M7) US/European programs still realistically possible?
3. Does my profile fit better for one-year or two-year MBA programs?
4. Would an optional essay realistically offset the academics?
5. What tier of schools would be considered stretch vs realistic for my profile?

Would appreciate some honest feedback. Thanks!

Hi - great job making up for the CGPA with GRE and CFA and Work Ex! I would recommend having a big spread for your school list - US - you can list Wharton, CBS, NYU, Cornell, Tuck.... (skip Booth they are GPA sensitive, Kellogg is mainly tier I schools - but if there is an alum from your school... it could be possible. EU LBS and Oxford.
In essays you need you need to maximize your quant skills and capabilities. Write optional essay to explain what you learned from your low GPA and how you’ve applied it to be successful today... and in their program.

Hi - Big 4 + CA is great... GRE is low for the schools on your list. I would recommend either retaking (closer to 320-325) or try with waivers first since you have CA. Your EC’s are strong, def max these in essays, will resonate with these schools - consider adding Cornell, Tepper, UCLA ... T20-30 schools for merit scholarship with 312 GRE.
