NidhiYad
Hello, I am Nidhi, I am a technology consultant with over 6 years of experience in enterprise digital transformation, currently working as a Technical Consultant at Salesforce. My career progression spans an internship and software engineering role at Persistent Systems, followed by an Analyst position at Deloitte and promotion to Consultant, and subsequently joining Salesforce Professional Services.

I specialize in Salesforce architecture, AI-enabled solutions, Data Cloud, enterprise integrations, and CRM transformation programs. I have worked with cross-functional teams, owned end-to-end solution delivery, managed stakeholder engagements, and delivered large-scale implementations across the hospitality, financial services, and non-profit sectors. Most recently, I developed autonomous AI agents leveraging Agentforce and Data Cloud, achieving a 90% case containment rate while implementing enterprise-grade AI governance and compliance frameworks.

Throughout my career, I have been recognized for high-impact performance and leadership through multiple awards, including the 2 ProServe Culture Club Award at Salesforce (2026), Outstanding Performance Award, Applause Award, and Spot Award at Deloitte, as well as Individual and Team High Five Awards at Persistent Systems. I have also earned around 12 industry certifications in salesforce including Platform Developer II, JavaScript Developer I, Agentforce Specialist, Sales Cloud Consultant, and Service Cloud Consultant.

Academically, I have got a CGPA of 8.8/10 in Class X, 75% in Class XII, and 8.9/10 in my Bachelor of Engineering (Information Technology) from Lakshmi Narain College of Technology.

Beyond work, I enjoy rifle shooting, cooking, and gardening, with a particular interest in cultivating and shaping bonsai trees.

My long-term goal is to transition from technology consulting into strategic leadership roles where I can leverage technology and AI todrive business transformation, innovation.

I am targeting Gmat score of 725. Which schools do you think are a fit? And How can I make my profile stand out and polish it?
Thanks for sharing your background Nidhi.
You’ve built a very strong tech‐consulting profile with great brands, clear progression, and real depth in areas like AI and Salesforce. This is absolutely competitive for top MBA programs.

With a 725 GMAT (that’s around the 99th percentile) and your experience, you genuinely have a shot at any top school , especially with the right positioning.

Tough but schools I’d look at: Kellogg, Booth, MIT Sloan, NYU.
More comfortable targets: Duke, Ross, Darden, Tuck, UCLA.

To really stand out, focus on sharpening your leadership story and the business impact behind your projects. I’d also want to hear more about your community or extracurricular involvement , that can make a big difference for Indian engineer applicants.

You’re in a great place.
At this point, you have two paths:

1. Finish the GMAT first, with the risk of missing Round 1.
2. Work on the GMAT and applications in parallel.

Either way work, happy to talk further now or once your GMAT is done.
You can always reach me at [email protected].

Good luck!

Hello, please evaluate my profile below:

32 Male
Indian-American (Born and reside in US)
GMAT: 720 (46Q, 42V, 7IR)
Work Experience: 9 years, in progressively senior IT leadership roles for legislative committee at the US Senate.
Current Position: Director, Information Technology
Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP), ITIL 4 Foundation in Service Management, CompTIA Security+, Apple ACMT

Undergrad GPA - 2.11 at Rutgers University. I had taken a 0.0 GPA for one semester due to medical emergency for family member - immediately needed to leave school. Still, I understand that my GPA is low.

Post MBA Goals: Switch to Tech PM or continue to CIO track

Leadership Exp:
Currently serving 6th year as elected Co-Chair of a board of 11 IT professionals, who represent 120 legislative offices at the Senate. We evaluate and direct the enterprise direction of the Senate, along with identifying and prioritizing needs/trends. We also foster public/private relationships with the leading technology, media and cybersecurity companies.
Also a member of the Congressional staff association dedicated to technology and cyber policy making.

Questions:
Do I have a shot at a program like Darden, Tepper, or Mcdonough?
Should I be considering an EMBA rather than FT? Why?
Is my GPA too much of a poison pill to consider an MBA?

Thanks for sharing all of this.
You have a very unusual and interesting background! (unusual = good!)
Nine years in IT leadership inside the US Senate - really rare!
and your elected board role is a real asset.

A 720 is solid. Your work experience is strong. Your leadership story is strong. The only real weakness is the GPA, and you’ll need to address it directly in an optional essay. The medical emergency explains the zero semester, and the rest you can frame as maturity and growth since then.

you absolutely have a shot at schools like Darden, Tepper, and McDonough (as well as Ross, Cornell and others!)

Should you consider an EMBA? this is really up to you. on the one hand, you’re already operating at a senior level, and many full‐time programs skew younger. But, if you are looking for a career switch/reset then full‐time makes sense.

Is the GPA a poison pill? No. It’s a hurdle, not a deal breaker. Your GMAT, your leadership roles, and your professional trajectory all help balance it. You just need to explain it clearly and take responsibility for the parts that weren’t related to the emergency.

If you want to talk through strategy or school selection in more detail, feel free to reach out to our SEO, Ms. Jenifer Turtschanow ([email protected]) who just read your profile and LOVES IT!

Hi, as you have asked this before, I will try to answer shortly. A LOT will ride on your GMAT score, as well as on your GPA, extracurricular activities, internships and plans between the degree and the MBA...

Which colleges? Not many non-top-10 programs offer deferred applications, so go for all the top ones 😊
GOOD LUCK!!!
(and talk to me next year when you are applying and we can help you create some stellar applications! I am always on [email protected])

Here we got a unique profile ............. Sex: Male
Age: 49
Ethnicity: white, born in US, lived in Asia (Bangkok/Seoul) for 20 years, moved to US 6 months ago
Undergraduate GPA: 3.1 BSc Sociology
Work Experience: 25 Years: 7 years in running my own business (guest houses and restaurant in Bangkok: 180 rooms) 9 years as professor in Korea
GMAT: 620!
Leadership: 2 years as director of 36 professors in English department at Sejong Univ, Seoul, 2013-present as business owner with staff over 20
Target Schools: anything top 20
Extra Curricular: new to US, jumped into volunteering and “work” 10 hours a week for Red Cross in leadership/management roles with 5-9 direct reports
Additional Background: took MA courses in Seoul, Asian studies, got course completion certificate, but no degree. Hope high ranked MBA will: create good US network, help balance odd background with US workplace, on essays stating that my plan is to get 6 figure job with Red Cross in regional or national level. Moved to US due to parents’ health (didn’t want to be stuck in Asia when a parent passes.) will likely stay in America at least 15 years

Everyone! We have last 10 minutes left in this chat, please ask your question quick.

Definitely unique
I will keep it short – “we need to talk “ !!! Reach out on [email protected] and we can set some time to discuss
In a nutshell, there are three types of programs
1. Regular Full-Time MBA programs: here you don’t stand a chance... they rarely look at profiles with over 10 years of experience...
2. EMBAs / Part-time programs: Designed for candidates who work during their degree. Its not clear if this is an option for u?
3. Full-Time dedicated one-year programs for senior candidates (or “Sloan Programs”)
These are similar to 2 years "regular" MBAs but are specific for senior candidates
I think these are great options for you.
· Stanford MSx
· MIT Sloan Fellows
· Foster GEMBA
· USC IBear
You can read more about this here: https://www.aringo.com/mba-over-30/

and like I said, reach out to talk further....
GOOD LUCK!

Thanks, everyone, I really enjoyed your questions and profile reviews today.
You can find a lot of free MBA resources on http://www.aringo.com
And as always, I’m available for profile assessments at [email protected]
Wishing you all the best of luck with your MBA journey!
