Guys I have a query and it may sound stupid.
Can a CV be of 1 page, front & back? Or should it be of 1 page, mentioning all the details on the front page only?
Piscine15This is the most common question MBA applicants ask. The top B-schools put a lot of emphasis on strategic resume formatting, but at the same time, let me also say that formatting alone will not get you noticed. You should be aware that an evaluator will spend less than a minute on your resume during the initial review, so you need to keep the language clear, the design uncluttered, and emphasise the points that can get you through the front door. If you have less than 8 years of work experience, you should ideally only create a one-page single sided resume.
remember to:
1. Depict an upward progression across jobs (less space and weight for older jobs, and clear growth trajectory for recent roles)
Your interviewer might cross question you regarding the (or lack of) upward trajectory looking at your resume during the interview
2. Allocate only 2-3 bullets under each job if you have multiple jobs. Focus on creating high impact bullets
3. Highlight international exposure and experience in the resume (important)
