Calling all Applicants: INSEAD January 2025 Intake

Hello ! How long after the Kira video will we know whether we have been selected for an interview or not? (R2)

 

@Dahyun ­- INSEAD has a very diverse class, and as such, there is no magic score or profile.

Broadly though, INSEAD's (GMAT Classic) average is around 710, so aiming for 10-20 points above that, with a balanced sectional split would be good. If you belong to an overrepresented demographic, a higer score would help.

Similarly, a balanced professional (work-ex range of the class is 3-8 years, outliers exist) and personal arc, with international exposure and Extracurricular involvement, would be valued.

­Usually within 2-3 weeks, after which (if you're invited to interview) you'll be asked to schedule interviews with 2 alumni. For R2, the final decision notification is Jul 5th.

­cottonmouth great question. I am a former INSEAD MBA interviewer.
INSEAD alumni interviewers take their job very seriously, and only a small percentage of alumni, those who can fulfill this commitment sign up as interviewers. It is not normal for interviewers not to confirm the invitation to interview. If you find that the assigned interviewer has not responded to your email even after 3-4 days, you should inform the admissions committee. This allows the adcom to evaluate whether the alumni interviewers are taking their jobs seriously or not.
If you have reached the interview stage, you have already proven yourself to the admissions committee and should not worry about the alumni interview. Put your best foot forward and have an honest conversation with the interviewers about why INSEAD is your dream school. FYI: The alumni interviewers are already informed by INSEAD adcom that the assigned candidate will be contacting them. The interviewers do not really have a say in who they can interview unless the interviewer has scheduling conflicts.

Anyone here got an admit for the Fontainebleau campus yet?

hopeful99, haven’t heard back post interviews yet. When were yours?

Only done with one so far, have an admit from somewhere else as well where I need to pay the advance fee so was just wondering how much time INSEAD is getting back in

Is this for round 1?

hopeful99 if this is for round 1 then I had asked for an early decision - AJ mentioned that she has put it in my file and that they will get back to me in May. I followed up also but no reply.

Round 1 interviews are still going on - the final deadline is 7th May

Oh so they gave different deadlines to different people? Is 7th May for the people who didn’t hear back on the original deadline?

Different people had different deadlines. Mine was 3rd May

Ah got it thanks - so I guess if you interview early you should hear back earlier…
