I know this is nerve wrecking. Almost most of them got a decision one way or the other. All this wait is not good. They should have released all the decisions in bulk and got it over with.

As of now I only know 4 of us are waiting including my friend and rest of them all received decisions

I haven't heard the decision, portal is still showing the same thing, though Andrea told me that I could expect a decision by 1st March. So may be a ding or waitlisted.
interview was on 16th, from India

They will get back to you probably in the next round, when an admit decline his space and also when an admit did not meet up with the deposit deadline.

but from the look of things, Broad has an high yield.

I have been waitlisted. Any idea till when does broad clear waitist ?

MSU doesn’t have high yield judging by the data. It is average like most universities at that level. Lot of people choose this as a safety school and lack of STEM designation definitely puts people off

Yield rate means % of students accepting the admit after the admit decisions

There were fewer applicants in the early and first round, so instead of rejecting most schools WLed applicants. Suddenly the scene changes in R2, with an influx of domestic applications because of the layoffs etc. So, admits became tough for internationals in later rounds. WL is a strategy used by schools to manage their yield

Actually we aren’t competing with domestic students for an MBA admit at any schools. We are competing with other internationals. So whatever layoffs happened in US doesn’t remotely affect us and it is very hard to drop a MBA application in couple of months especially if you don’t have GMAT score yet.

What I meant was they have an option to get the %age of international applicants to normal. Unlike prev year

Did they also send out some admissions today?

Nope, they are using very clear strategy. One day in a week they will release all admits, another day all waitlisted. So, there is no way we are getting any admits today.

So effectively you are competing for a smaller international pool this year compared to prev year.

Yeah true that makes sense. Right now going back by adcom interviews you aren’t really still seeing influx of domestic applicants. Next year will be brutal for international candidates.

Ideally they shall be releasing all R2 decisions by 6th March.. All the best to the waitlisted candidates.

Even schools know it is hard to pull off an application in few months, so they came up with lot of concessions for the tech layoff people, test waivers and app fee waivers even in T10 schools.
