patodrums89 I received an email stating that my status had been updated on the CBS portal. I had to login and clicked on a link that directed me to the decision page.

Good luck to others!

I have seen activity on Clear Admit Livewire. I think we are about to hear news soon.

I am so anxious I am refreshing my email every 5 mins.

I just got dinged (applied January 5th, Regular Decision) from Columbia without interview.

It's surprising to me because I've been invited to interview to HBS and Booth (international applicant, 760 GMAT, private equity). What are your thoughts? Got lucky at HBS/Booth or got unlucky at Columbia? Is it linked to the rolling admission system at all (bad odds when applying so late)?

I think it has more to do with applying late. I am in the same boat (Corporate FP&A Director/CFA/3.6GPA) and was very surprised with the ding, especially from Columbia. I applied around the same time as you did (Jan 3). I am moving on and so should you. How did HBS work out? I am also applying to it.

With CBS, its got to do with the rolling admission process. The later you apply, the less chances you have to differentiate yourself from those already admitted.

You were not just "lucky" to get interviews at HBS and Booth. Your applications and your MBA story must have been great to get you interview invites at these schools. With top schools, it all comes down to a case of diversity when selecting 1 out of many similar profile demographics.

Good luck with your interviews at HBS and Booth.

I want to believe you, but I also don't want to find excuses. Anyone knows where I can find stats on the rolling admissions of Columbia?

Has anyone who was waitlisted in RD been accepted? I was waitlisted back in December and wasn't expecting to hear anything until April-May, but was just curious if anyone else had.

If we are called for the interview, does we get a standard email to check the portal, or we receive an email already talking about the interview updates?

I am sure there is a pile of applications from the 6th that they need to go through. Looks like they are sending out invites/dings to applications up to 6th so we all 11th hour applications should be next up for review.
