Here's the admit timeline based on the Facebook group addition. Generally I'd think there are a few days lag between the time of admission to the time of request to join the FB group.

There were 73 admits from 1/29 to 2/1 and we currently have ~320 or so in the group, including invites outstanding.

It actually might be better if you haven't heard back. Seems like rejections are arriving sooner than interview invites..

WHY?? Why would you choose to bother the adcom instead of waiting? No new is good news if you ask me.

So, I have a general question for the group. I know rankings don't mean everything and that there are many paths to success, but I also know there are advantages to attending top schools. Columbia is considered one of the "M7" schools. Do you think there is a dramatic difference in the networking, job opportunities, recruiting, etc... afforded to students by a school like Wharton versus Columbia? Or, Wharton versus Kellogg, MIT versus Haas, etc...

Most people say that Stanfod and Harvard are in their own league, but in terms of tangible differences in the benefits to graduates, do you think the differences between the top half of the top ten schools are really noticeable when compared to those at the schools at, say, the bottom half of the top ten?

my 2 cents: if someone has reached to this concern, he/she has probably not researched enough what the schools have to offer, or reflected on his/her career goals. Recommend talking to alumni.

sucks man, My wife just received her ding :-( i guess mine is right around the corner, just waiting for it now.
Did you really apply to 12 schools?
Yep, we went all out. Worth it based on Our long term goals if we get in just 1 of those schools.

your GMAT score is amazing. I think I saw on MBA data guru that CBS's acceptance rate post-interview is more correlated with GMAT score than with GPA, so it's real advantage to have that! good luck!
