Admitted a few days ago off the wait-list.

Very excited...

Congratulations!

When were you waitlisted? I've been on the waitlist since late December and am trying to get a sense of who from the waitlist they're considering...

Thank you.
I received wait-list decision on Feb 10th. And I was off the wait-list on March 14th.
IMHO, I don't think this has anything to do with timing.
Good luck to you!

Application finally fully submitted as of 3/28. I was waiting on one last lagging recommender. Unfortunately, after reviewing my essays I found a spelling error! Somehow with all the editing "by setting meetings with" got switched to "by set meetings with" praying to the admissions gods that whoever reads my essay isn't too put off by this. Good luck to everyone in limbo still waiting to hear back. Hoping to be on the fast track 6 week+2 week plan. :-D

Sadly it's the other way, so I'm still hoping!

Got the ding today. Submitted 3/12 got ding e-mail 4/11. Was excited when the decision came so soon because I thought it meant interview :-/.

Veteran Applicant, minority, 630 GMAT 2.8 GPA. Knew a handful of current students and a CBS professor. I will be re-applying ED in a few months after retaking the GMAT over the summer. Good luck to everyone still waiting on a decision to come down the pipe.

Hola! This is only relevant for admits from Spain & Portugal (or with high interest in working mainly in these markets based in Madrid!). I have just seen in Facebook the following:

Bain & Company Madrid Office is planning a Pre-MBA event at 19:30 in June 23rd and would like to invite the CBS Class of 2018 admits. It is a unique opportunity to understand what we do in Strategy Consulting very early on!

Please **send an email to Patricia Miralles (patricia.miralles{@}bain{.}com, I can't write it as a normal email address, but you only have to delete the brackets) ** if you would like to attend, and she will answer back to you, or you can follow the instructions in the web page of Bain Madrid, where you also have more information.

If you are interested in Bain Madrid, even if you can't attend, also let her know!

Congratulations on your admission!

Not sure if this is the appropriate thread but wanted to provide some information for J-term applicants.

I submitted my application on 5/19 with a completion date of 5/26 (once my recommenders had submitted). I was invited to interview today.

One question..

does your application status change from "Submitted" to "under review" or sth?

No, no change at all on my application portal page. Still denoted "submitted."

I got a follow up email from an admissions representative with instructions on how to schedule an interview. What was different for my interview scheduling process as opposed to others I have read here is that I was given a single interviewer choice. I can't imagine lack of available Columbia ambassadors would have been the cause of that as I am in Seattle, WA where plenty of alumni reside. My interviewer also said this was the only time he'd seen an interview invitation sent out with just a single potential interviewer on it. Not sure if this was a one-off case for Columbia or if they are changing policy?

It does not change for Columbia application. You will get an email notification that there is a new message posted to your application profile. This new message (if you are invited for an interview) will tell you how to schedule your interview. The same thing will happen once you have your interview and the interviewer submits the interview feedback. Finally, either you will receive a call for admit or another message for a ding.

This is not my experience, and it may be different for the J term, but I did not receive a notification nor note on my profile. Nothing at all changed there. All I received was an email from an admissions representative letting me know how to schedule my interview.
