There's no 2020 thread yet so I thought I'd post this here. How much do Yale SOM, Haas, and Tuck care about what order you rank them in?
I'm in the odd position where for Yale and Haas (my top 2 choices), my GMAT is above their reported 90th percentile (based on the latest class profile) but my GPA is below the 10th percentile. Tuck publishes the full range instead of the middle 80%, and my GPA is safely within that range. I reached out to the Consortium, and they said that even if I were rejected from Yale and Haas, Tuck would still see that I ranked them third.
Do any of these 3 schools have a reputation for being less generous with scholarships if they're ranked lower? Planning on doing an app-initiated interview at Tuck to show interest, as well as attending the Yale diversity weekend, so they would still know my level of interest in the programs.
