My two cents.
Let's say the application is graded out of 100 and the cutoff is between 80 and 85. Everybody with a 90+ score would have automatically received admits, which presumably is the first list. Anybody in the 80s still need to be compared with the remaining interviewees and hence the 2nd batch. The score will be floating until the last batch of admits in the first round. I do not think it's a hard figure yet, at least not for the first round. The college wants to fill 900 seats. The second list will be determined from the remaining interviewees this weekend and the next weekend and those already interviewed.
In addition, usually first round has the largest batch of admits and assuming 750 PGP, it would be 350 or so for the first round, 300 for the 2nd round and 100 for the 3rd round. The 3rd round always has minimal admits all across the globe with a minor difference between the first and the second rounds. Having said that, about 200 admits were rolled out yesterday and the remaining 100-150 will be rolled out in the coming batch.
Do not discount yourself out yet because 100 to 150 admits will be not interviewed over the coming 2 weekends. Go for a run, get a beer or a smoke, read, watch movies or if your work is exhausting (you would be lucky if that was the case at this juncture) dive into it.
Sit tight for the next couple of weeks!

Dinesh my man. I know we are strangers but this really made me hug you. Thanks for penning this. I am not judging the authenticity of these analysis, but sometimes we just need some motivation and this write-up actually motivated me.
