"Why ISB?" I know you all will be asked this question in your admission interview. But before that, let’s discuss it here. You can make 3-4 bullet points. This exercise will give everyone different perspectives about the School and it might add value to your answers as well. Let’s start.

While there are a few pointers you can refer to which have already been mentioned, our recommendation would be to make your answer as personalized as possible.
To stand out from the crowd you should relate your answer with a personal anecdote/story which aligns with the question. Since every candidate is different the answer to ’Why ISB’ becomes highly subjective. However, to help you out here are a few pointers you could talk about,
- Experiential Learning Program at ISB
- Case-based teaching
- The robust alumni network
- The faculty (highly recommended to look up course/electives offerings at ISB)

Hi All,

Hi All,

I am currently working as a solution architect for wipro - UK banking client.
WE - 7 years with 3 promotions included
B.Tech CGPA - 7.74 from NITW
12th -97.2%
10th - 90%
Merit scholarship holder in college and 12th.
Good extra curriculars in college- managed events in fest, leadership roles in clubs
Post MBA goals -

ISB, IIM A,B,K are a few Indian colleges that I have in my mind.

Hi prithviraj99, S4G has a webinar IIM one year MBA programs today, you could check that out to get a better idea I think.

https://youtu.be/DGohwhPFPxs

I worked with them for my ISB application, that’s how I know about them

They have an option to have a free consultation call as well if I am not wrong, could probably contact them and find out more

Hi BhaveshNaidu hope this finds you well

Your GPA is not your strong suit so make sure to compensate with a highly analytical approach to your work in the essays.

I would say a decent chance of making it to ISB if you execute the application well and show utmost clarity on post-MBA prospects.
For your post-MBA goals, I suggest you show some deeper research into the prospects and play on your strengths. You have a strong background in supply chain software, therefore, supply chain network design or supply chain product design or operations leadership could be an interesting fit for your background at global tech companies such as Walmart, Amazon, or even at upcoming E-commerce startups all over the globe. Deliberate on your post-MBA goals keeping in mind what possible career tracks in the short/mid-term could help you attain your long-term vision. Do not shy away from laying down your thought process on your career goals in the essays and present alternative to your most preferred career objective.

Reach out should you need professional guidance
Best wishes

Hi prithviraj99 hope this finds you well

In addition to the Indian colleges that you already have on your list, you can reach out to Kellogg and Columbia to explore interest in the 1year program and J Term respectively. You should speak about your goals and read into the responses from the admissions office to evaluate your fit with the program. In Europe, I suggest that you consider LBS, INSEAD, HEC Paris, Oxford, Cambridge, IESE and IE. Since you have a lot of international experience I believe you would do well with the European schools even with a sub-700 score.

Do note that your career progression is the most important aspect that B Schools will evaluate you on, so make sure you do a good job at demonstrating it when reaching out to schools and on your applications.

Reach out should you need professional guidance
