Just got to know the complete Commitment fee story. This is a new addition from this year. They’ll give a date before which you should pay the fee, maybe around Feb 1st (most probably the same date as R3 deadline). They want to make sure that you’ll not choose some other European B-School over ISB at the last moment.

Will that be adjusted against the Total fee or its just a new added component? Like the total is still 42-45L, right?

I called up the number on their website - asked them whether 18th is the date the admits will be released or if it could come sooner.
She said 18th is the date, nothing before it, and all the admits are going to be rolled out together
Wonder why they need so much time if they are not going to conduct interviews on 12th and 13th
I think now they work on maintaining the diversity. How many feom which profile and how many to be called feom under review accordingly. It would take some time

Is this different from the token fee that one pays to confirm seat. (around 15 days from date of offer letter for R1). The token fee (or whatever it is called) is around 2L

Token Fee, Commitment Fee, Meal plans, etc. are not included in the tuition fee. Overall, the cost of the 1 yr PGP would be 42-43 lakh for Shared and 45-46 lakh for Studio. Add 1 yr of your income / salary to this number and you’ll get the total cost borne by you.

Even I’m not 100% sure about it. But that’s what is present in faq’S.

You can clearly see that Tuition Fee is under the head "Other Fee" and so, separate from Admission and Commitment Fee

So, in sum, they have introduced new commitment fee of 2.36L this year and increased admission fee to 3L from 2.5L last year (excluding GST)

random side tangent ; but it’s kinda crazy on the sheer amount of colleges/unis that "acquire" your email ID (or whichever email ID used for giving GMAT exam) from GMAC, and start spamming you on the daily about various MBA programmes and the like. Even after unsubscribing from most of them, a new one pops up each day from yet another different college/uni. Send halp pls

3-8 sums as 32.xx L for shared and 35.xx L for studio. Add 1-2 accordingly. Looks like they have increased overall fee, but just distributed how we pay it.

So 2.36+3.54=5.90 over and above 32.xx/35.xx

38-42L max
