Isbasp123 how disappointing to say the least! At this point, it honestly could be a game of statistics, that is picking the best of the borderline eligible applicants for ISB (since you only have 2.4 years of experience). Admissions tend to be more challenging both for very young and older candidates (the bell curve). While I have seen very young applicants get accepted to ISB with only 24 months of work experience or a bachelor’s with no tier 1 pedigree, I think the story you present to the school (along with insights into future goals) is the most important part of the application and the ultimate decision. The 332 score is also a great score, so do not be discouraged and come back stronger with bigger and better takeoff points in your career trajectory. Best wishes Aanchal Sahni (INSEAD alum, former INSEAD admissions interviewer) MBAGuideConsulting LinkedIn |WEBSITE: https://mbaguideconsulting.com/ | Message: +91 9971200927| email- [email protected]
Hello , Could you please elaborate more on the bell curve. Being specific what does it mean "older candidate" how much of a work experience is considered to term someone an older candidate.
Thank you in advance

Can anyone evaluate my profile-
10th - 10 cgpa, 12th- 95.25%, Economics Honours- 83.4%, Masters in Economics- 70%
Workex- 21 months at JP Morgan, 25 months at NIPFP
Gap of 8 months where I wprked in family business. Although not sure if I should show that. Given I feel I am already in higher workex bracket

What is the refund policy on the INR 354K admissions fees? I know it’s partially refundable but can’t find the exact terms.

How much do we need to pay to book the seat after receiving an admit?

what is the exact GMAT score cutoff for SPjain?
Beware they have sectional cuoffs as 75%ile, which work out to Q50 minimum, so although your Gmat may be 750+, no sectional=no call=waste of time.

ISB doesn’t get too much into sectional cut offs, does it?

That would be my the end of ISB, if it does

This question was specifically asked in another way in the video sessions with adcom. they said "only final score matters".

I mean, I have seen things go a lot of ways with ADCOM. So, I will take my chances and roll with my abysmal quant score. It’s either that or be miserable for another year. I pick gambling.

Thank you in advance

ShivkumarGMAT Nothing complex here. Basis the previous class stats, ISB had about 50 students in the batch with 8+ years of work experience. These are published stats so you could say 8 years mark the threshold for being categorized as a more experienced candidate. Then the older you are the more difficult it becomes. ISB is intrinsically not too focused on the more experienced folks (which we all know). So ultimately, if the same trend continues, folks with 8+ years of experience are ultimately targeting these 50-something seats every year.
