Also, does Rice send CA invitation to everyone? Or is it like a personal interview for the selected?

I might be wrong, but Rice is pretty generous with video invites since they involve current students in the whole process. In any case, it definitely is an opportunity to highlight your core strengths.

No. They tend to release admits first on a rolling basis over a couple of days, then waitlists and rejects follow
