1. If you select a US location slot - yes, you will be mapped to interviewer based out of US 2. Will it have an impact on interview beyond timezones - no, a US (or EU/SEA/ME/SA) interviewer will assess you like anyother candidate regardless of your geography. If you think you will have an advantage with an Indian interviewer, you are wrong. If you think you will be at a disadvantage with a US/EU/MEA/SEA interviewer, you are wrong.

Tbh my experience with Indians interviewers has not been good. 😅 I might have confirmation bias though

i got a 2nd year student may be because i choose Ann arbor location i guess now we have to email them to check the time and platform comfortable for them

to your first question - obv it will affect the timing. I went for an EST timezone based alumni, and she only had availability post 6PM EST i.e. 4:30AM IST. I let her know of the same and she was able to acoomodate my request for a 4:30PM EST slot i.e. 3AM IST.
