Yup. 2/21/2017, 2/24/2017, 3/1/2017, or 3/3/2017. Let the waiting game begin.

It's going to be long ride. Let's hope for the best!

Does anyone know the acceptance rates for R3 applicants? How many slots are usually available?

Thanks

Narenn posted a great analysis a while ago.
You can check the below post. According to this results, it seems like R3 acceptance rate is really low for GMATclub members.
However, the data point is self-reported and the actual acceptance rate might differ from it.

If there's anyone with an interview invite or an admission offer still around, were your Linkedin profiles viewed by someone from the school? Should one be worried that he/she did give a link to the Linekdin profile but didn't see any hits on it yet.

Given there's very very limited space in the app process (750 words or 250 words plus a meager 2 minute video), there's not a lot of other avenues to showcase your work.

Any thoughts inputs on this would be much appreciated.

My profile wasn't seen by anyone from the school. I wouldn't worry about it!

Thanks for your response and apologies for asking again, but did you explicitly provide the link in your application form and did you get interview invite etc etc (it's not very clear from your profile's thumbnail here)?

Don't worry! Here you go:

Thanks for your response and apologies for asking again, but did you explicitly provide the link in your application form (YES) and did you get interview invite (YES, Round 1 interview invite and waitlisted for now) etc etc (it's not very clear from your profile's thumbnail here)?

FROM Sloan Admissions Blog: Interview News for MIT Sloan MBA Round 2 Applicants
Image

Our Admissions Committee is busy reviewing Round 2 applications for the Class of 2019! The interview is an important next step in our admissions process as we interview everyone who is admitted into our community. The goal of the interview is to personally get to know you better and to hear more about your professional stories and background.

Here are some key interview invitation dates to be aware of:

  • Tuesday, February 21st – First batch of interview invitations will be sent
  • Friday, February 24th – Second batch of interview invitations will be sent
  • Wednesday, March 1st – Third batch of interview invitations will be sent
  • Friday, March 3rd – Fourth and final batch of interview invitations will be sent
By March 3rd, all Round 2 applicants will receive either an interview invitation or updated decision status by the end of the business day.

Round 2 interviews kick-off Monday, February 27th and will continue through Monday, March 27th. We expect to interview approximately 20% of the Round 2 applicant pool. Please keep in mind that interview invitations are sent based on our interviewers’ travel schedules, and not in any preferential order.

For Round 2 we plan to conduct interviews in 13 cities including Cambridge, Bangkok, Dallas, Hong Kong, London, Los Angeles, Paris, San Francisco, Santiago, São Paulo, Seoul, Shanghai, and Tokyo. The location of the interview will not be a decision factor, but for those who can make it to campus, we host special programming for interviewees, including lunch with current students and a class visit. Please note that all applicants invited to interview have the option to come to Cambridge for their interview.

If invited for an interview, you will receive an MIT Sloan Interview Guide with details on how to best prepare for the Behavioral Event Interview (BEI).

Please contact us if you have any further questions!

Similar to the question above I suppose, but anyone's video still not been viewed? I can tell from YouTube Analytics and my view count that no one from admissions has watched mine. I'm a bit disappointed considering the effort that went into making it.

I'd be curious about the same. Though it seems (and they said in their initial email) that the invites will also come in waves according to interviewer scheduling -- I was looking at some R1 posts and (please correct me if I'm wrong) it seemed like Cambridge interviews weren't necessarily the first to go out -- Asia might have been? In any case, I feel like I should not hold my breath to hear back today, but it would be a pleasant surprise if I did :).

I received one for Cambridge and it looked like a few others in the chat earlier did as well. Can't speak for other locations unfortunately.
