Stern mentions they generally respond to all applications within 6-8 weeks.
Do you guys think if it's been more than 8 weeks then it's dinged already or Stern sends rejections on a rolling basis as well?

I think you should e-mail and ask. Maybe not the very next day after 8 weeks, but if it’s been an extra week or 2, I think it’s fair to ask.

I spoke to a member of adcom who said that your app gets reviewed by multiple people (I think 3) before an interview invite is sent. Who those people are gets assigned at random. And it gets assigned in rounds. So if your first reviewer takes a while, you may end up at the bottom of the second person’s pile instead of the top/middle. And if your final reviewer waits until the last minute, you won’t get notified until the last minute. This means that it is all pretty random and you shouldn’t read into the timing. I got my interview invite at 7 weeks and 6 days after submitting for R1 (and I applied about 1 week early), but I got in and got a good scholarship. Definitely don’t lose hope at 6 weeks!

Not as many, but it’s not quite the same as other schools because they do rolling admissions and they have 4 rounds instead of 3
