Congratulation to all those who are accepted :)

I want your help. I had applied last year in R2, got dinged. I am reapplying now in R2( I know R1 would have been the best round). I read a lot of posts on re-application in second round thus I am scared that it won't be the best approach, but honestly I don't want to wait for another year. Actually, as I applied in R2 last year, I wanted to have a good amount of progress/ update before I apply again so I am applying now. Do you think the timing will be total held against me? Is there any case of selection of a re-applicant in R2?

And If you guys feel, I can apply in R2, can anyone suggest me what format of re-application essay or update letter they used? Is it like a normal letter or an essay?

Thanks a lot in advance!

I do think it would be quite difficult to crack a reapplication in Round 2. That said, if you do have significant improvements (the biggest one being GMAT score, a legit promotion, and stronger letter of recs), who knows what can happen? Won't hurt to try.

Ross does allow you to write a reapplication essay (plus the new essays for this year).

Hi Souvik,

Thanks for the response. Actually, I do have a new GMAT 750 from 720 last year. I was promoted last year just before the application so didn't really have much to showcase but this time after a year, I have a lot in my new role. And pretty much my reco is also way stronger because of my last project. So do you think, I can give it a serious try?

And about reapplication essay, they say "Update letter". So I am doubtful as on gmatclub, I read on a last year post to actually write in bullet points. Do you think that makes sense?

TIA

Well, I got a hard "no" on possible scholarship opportunities. Hopefully someone else has had more success.

Was this a post-admission scholarship discussion / negotiation?

Hey (hopefully) future Rossers! Sorry current students have been out of the loop, fall semester has been intense! Just wanted to reach out and say congrats to all the admits, and I hope to see you around next year!

For all of the waitlisted folks out there, don’t give up! There’s a few of my classmates who are some of the top performers in our class who were on the waitlist, so there is indeed hope! Review some of the waitlist guides out there, be patient and trust the process!

If any of y’all have any questions send me a dm and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can

I'm pretty awful at this sort of thing typically (was too grateful for the acceptance to really push for any aid). Called the financial aid office and asked if there were further opportunities because I am excited for Ross but certainly keen to inquire on other avenues of support such as x, y, and z.

The response to thatwas pretty much "nope sorry". So I basically said "okay figured it was worth asking thanks" and hung up. I don't think I was even close but again I went in pretty weak so be interesting to hear if anyone else had a different result.

they endeavor to call every admit, so far the most part status update with no call is a bad sign (but sure there are some instances where they simply weren't able to make the call first)

Application submitted for Round 2! Excited!

Anyone have an idea as to when interview invitations are sent? Is it rolling?

I was unable to find any detail regarding Ross' specific timeline.

Last year it seems that it had 2 waves of interview invitations.

As to the 1st round, all invitaions were sent on the same day.

Hi buddy!

Congratulations on your offer and decision.

I haven't the chance yet as travelling to US during this time is quite a challenge, but I'm considering going for GBR. By the way, do we have a Ross 2020 group on Facebook yet as I can't find any.

There is no FB group that I am aware of, there is the SLACK channel so there's that! It is indeed a challenge visiting the US :( but hopefully you can make the trip worthwhile. Let me know if I can be of help to you mate (I'm an immigrant living in the US now for 5+ years, so I can share my inputs/perspectives if you need any insight or inputs - lemme know!)
