I wonder why Sloan hasn't updated that blog... anyway, two years ago, it gave 2 weeks for invites. Unless much has change, we're probably looking at a similar window?

Sometimes is better to be prepared fot the worst scenario. Now, there is nothing you can do for this year application so your pessimism will not affect your performance. In fact, thinking on prepare the next year application is very optimistic, a real pessimist would give up. :roll: :roll: (things you think to handle the wait)

I'm facing quite a conundrum right now. Sloan is my top choice but I've received an admit from my second choice. I have to pay the deposit (accept/deny) by 10th March. Sloan is taking their own sweet time to send out invites and I'm sitting here like :? :?

What do you guys think I should do? Is it worth asking the other school for an extension or will it just make matters worse?

Well congrats!! You lose nothing by politely asking for an extension, so I think you should go ahead and do it.

I think you should wait a bit. The last invites and dings will be send this friday, so you will know for sure where are you standing by that day.

I think you should wait a bit. The last invites and dings will be send this friday, so you will know for sure where are you standing by that day.

Sorry, but there's no guarantee of this. That blog post was two years old!

But I'm sure that you'll hear "ding or interview" by Mar 10th, so I'd wait it out. If you get an interview from MIT but no acceptance by the 10th you may need to put down the deposit for the other school and lose it if you get into MIT.
