Hmm... since MIT claimed to chart everyone by those 9 factors and invite the "first quadrant" to interview, will we all be hearing today?

(My application still says "submitted).

I wouldn't count on it.. It can go on upto March end.

Yeah, does anyone know if they update everyone's application status like Harvard did or does it go out in waves? Do we know how long the waves/misery last?

So from what I remember wrt R1, they submited by Sep 15, started getting invites Oct 19 onwards and then there was a long break. And then again a wave of invites in November.

First invites were sent in and around the USA and international invites came later.

This is what I recall.. might not be very accurate.

Sorry...this might be a stupid question.

If I am a foreign national who works in the states, I would still be considered international...right?

I count 14 invites on LiveWire. All of the other schools I applied to have had a lot more than 14 posted on LiveWire before they were done. Stay patient. Seems likely they'll let out invites all of next week too.

According to the posts in Livewire for Round 1, it seems that the invitation frame goes for 2 or 3 weeks. After that, come the dings!
Let's continue with our painful waiting!

Got my interview invite today at 9:31am this morning! Could not be more excited! Was at the airport on my way to my Haas interview, after a less than stellar Wharton interview yesterday. I submitted my application at the last possible second and have been on pins and needles ever since. Now just waiting to hear back from the elusive Stanford...

Congrats and best of luck. It seems that you have invites from all top 5. You must be having an outstanding profile. do you mind sharing details on your profile?

Saw a lot of NYC/Boston invites on Livewire today. If one is from that area but hasn't received an invite, should one assume it's a ding at this point?

Thank you so much, and that's so kind of you to say! I'm a woman, age 28, 3.6 from top non-Ivy school with degree in the humanities, 730 GMAT (but low quant score), live in NYC. I was a very early employee at a venture-backed startup that has had some good success, now a director-level role at a venture capital firm. I applied to a few schools a two years ago to test the waters and didn't get a single interview invite, so I can't tell you how excited I am this time around. I will say I did a lot of soul-searching on my future goals and worked very hard to demonstrate fit for each program this application cycle. I'd genuinely be honored to attend any one of the schools.

I'm sure the admissions teams at these schools do an exceptional job vetting candidates, but with so many qualified candidates applying, I think a lot of it probably comes down to luck. Best of luck with all of your schools!

It's not over till it's over :) But in all seriousness, both NYC and Boston are big markets and the number of invites on Livewire (for these markets) seemed low -- I expect they'll send more out next week. Best of luck!

Thanks a lot for sharing the info. I am sure it will work in your favour this time.
I am at similar phase like you were two years ago. Not a singlr invite so far. Let's see how it goes for me.
