Forget scholarship, chances to convert WL into an admit itself are usually very slim or negligible (disclaimer: no expert, just from previous years threads and applicants). You need to make an extra effort to convince the AdCom.

Can someone provide some pointers for WL candidates as the mail doesn't say what can we do to strengthen our application further or what steps we need to take to convince the AdCom ?

I am sorry for this question.
But I am not able to see the Essay Question for Smith on the application form.
All I see in the application form is an option to upload Optional Essay.
Can anyone please help me with this.

Have you filled up the "Educational Intent" section on the left navigation pane of your application portal? Once you fill up MBA Full Time for Fall 2016, you should be able to see the MBA Essay Question.

For your quick reference, here is the question.
What are your specific post-MBA short-term and long-term goals? Why Smith? Why an MBA? Why now? (500 words)

IMO, don't even care to apply Smith with GMAT 640. Rather, try Krannert Purdue.

Applied on 15th December. Got an interview invite yesterday. Have an interview scheduled for 20th January in person in Mumbai, India. Any pointers for the interview?
(GMAT: 720, 2 years work ex in chemical manufacturing (family business)).

I applied in R3 on Dec 15th. Have a skype interview scheduled for Jan 14th. Anyone who did the skype interview have any specific experiences to share? This will be my first skype interview and hence the uncertainty.

I had submitted my app on 31st October. However, my application was incomplete.
I got an update that my application was complete some time around November End.
Received interview invitation on 2nd December.
Interviewed on 16th December.
Received an admit on 6th Jan.

Have you been interviewed yet?

Yes i have been interviewed... hav't got anything yet so am really nervous..not much hopefull for an admit now.

When were you interviewed? I know it's scary. However, the only advice that I can give you right now is to keep your hopes alive and concentrate on your other application. The worst thing that you can do is to affect the other chances thinking about something that is beyond your control.

Remember the cliche - It is not over until it is over!

Perhaps, you will be admitted on the decision date. Perhaps, you will be waitlisted and admitted at a later round! Possibilities are many. So try to make the best of what is in your control.
